And the Next Cancelled Show is...

^We don't know that. And she had long wanted to play a serial killer's daughter. Fact is, she has been able to complete an entire show between Orville seasons, a fine career move.

What we know is that they broke up and then she didn't work there any more.

40 thousand dollars a week.

A normal person can deal with their ex for 40 thousand dollars a week.

Fox dumping Prodigal Son only reinforces the clear fact those asshats don't know how to have a good show.

I'm sure they'll do fine with Masked (whateverTF) and the other trash they churn out.

Hoping some streaming service picks up Prodigal Son. An extremely well written and engaging show, and Michael Sheen only makes it better.

I thought this was already rumoured or confirmed by the showrunners as the end of the story.
Yes, it was said to be a six year story - but never assume a studio or network won't to try to keep a show going past the "use by" date. It is mentioned in the link.

Was...was this meant to be sarcasm? It's so hard to tell online...

I haven't seen the show, but potentially the point would be to watch an entertaining TV series? Any show one gets into will be finite...
I just have too many other shows with more than multiple seasons to catch up on to bother with a one season and done show.

I can’t see Prodigal Son going to any streaming service except for HBO Max since it’s a Warner Bros. production.

There are rumblings that SEAL Team and Clarice would move to Paramount+ if CBS renews them.

Also cancelled:
American Housewife
Rebel
(which only started airing like four weeks ago)
Mixed-ish
For Life

Black-ish
was renewed for one final season (their eighth).

My wife and I watched that show. It’s a shame it’s getting punted, but it was starting to get painful to watch when the main character kept almost intentionally sabotaging his new relationships with women. That one couple of neurotic and meddlesome friends of his was also a bit vexing.

I guess that explains why Maya Lynne Robinson is showing up for the season finale of The Conners and possibly rejoining the show next season.

I think a lot of these networks are going to be shocked that people aren't going to pay for just one show on a streaming service. Netflix & Amazon Prime work because they offer content outside of the norm.

How many subscriptions are they going to get from SEAL Team?

CTV in Canada has also been promoting the hell out of Rebel. It was never going to be my cup of tea, but it didn't look like it was something new or groundbreaking.
