And the Next Cancelled Show is...

How convenient. What good are those cameras when the video is constantly being "accidentally" wiped? I guess there is no oversight on these things once they enter evidence lock-up.

Live PD cameras recorded a heavy handed approach by Texas police of black motorist that resulted in his death but the footage was destroyed.

Not to discount what happened in Williamson County, but Live PD did a lot of good too. The "Live PD Nation" was instrumental in helping find missing children and wanted criminals. Some (not all) of the officers showed themselves to be excellent people that deserved to be recognized.

HBO is consolidating all their services. HBO Go will soon get the heave ho and their users shifted over to HBO Max. Meanwhile, HBO Now will be renamed... HBO.

I know this has been asked and wondered for awhile...but I've never understand why there were so many different version of HBO in the first place?

My theory it's a idea created before people started to DVR or now just pick a movie at anytime on service but instead just watch live tv. If you switching through them you never no what movie might be on. Plus it keeps reminding people what movies they have on the service by always be playing or close to playing when flipping through the channels. Their version of keeping them on a queue.

I can only assume that HBO Max can service ten times as many clients comfortably as HBO Go can because its newer software relying on, or expecting more advanced hardware and infrastructure.

Light bulb replacing the gas light.

Unless you own Roku TV's...

It's really simple, if you have cable and subscribed to HBO you got free access to HBO Now. If you didn't have cable or didn't subscribed to HBO you could get stand alone HBO with HBO Go. With introducing HBO Max, which should have really been called Warner Brothers Max. You are getting almost all of the WB material plus HBO. So they are now doing away with HBO Go because it is redundant. However they are keeping HBO Now, now just HBO for those who still subscribe to HBO through cable.

You've got it just a little backwards. HBO Go was with the cable subscription; HBO Now was the standalone. HBO Go is being replaced by HBO Max; HBO Now is becoming just HBO.

Having all these names has got you all talking about HBO which is what the marketing guys want.
Talk is fine, except it hasn't (yet) led to me buying in... mostly because I've already got Netflix, Hulu, and CBS All Access, none of which I'm getting as much use out of as I'd like. And then Disney+ will have Hamilton next month, so I have to sign up for that at least for a little while. Sorry, HBO, but you'll have to get to the back of the line there. :p
