And the Next Cancelled Show is...

Such an awesome premise when it started, completely bungled for the most part in execution (getting rid of Congresswoman Hookstratten was their first mistake). Sigh. At least the Korean version of DS currently running on Netflix is interesting.

So did they ever figure out who bombed all the government leaders in season one? That was the only reason I was watching, but even that mystery couldn't keep me hooked for more than a few episodes.

Yes. It was some super rich CEO of a private military firm they introduced out of nowhere who felt betrayed by the government and wanted to rebuild a better America from the ashes or some crap like that. I think it also had something to do with his estranged son and losing a custody battle. It was awful.

Designated Survivor lost my interest halfway through the first season. They couldn't make up their minds what the show was supposed to be -- some sort of mashup of The West Wing, 24, and Homeland, but with none of what made those shows good and/or popular. Sounds like I haven't missed much.

Yup, that was my experience as well. The premise was intriguing, the execution was horrific.

Ah, well. I've enjoyed the revival. It had a slow start, but halfway through the first season, it found its footing and took off nicely.

I love when Netflix cancels shows I never heard of. It makes it so much easier to cancel it in 10 months when my giftcard runs out.

I think it was clear Will and Grace were done when the ratings for this past season dropped so much. Hopefully they don't fuck up the next series finale.

When Mike Pence becomes president in 2025, after the democratic party cheats and shoves Cop-Harris or Touchy Uncle Joe down our throats, maybe the show can come back. From my math Futurama had four series finales. Maybe Will and Grace can match that.

I loved the newest season of DS, it finally was a show that was somewhat grounded with reality of modern day America. The 16th show-runner finally got it right and ended it on a high note.

I agree. If it must go, it had a better ending for Season 3 than 2. (Seeing the full character arc of Kirkman going from the obscure amateur thrust into power to winning election in his own right. That is the note to go out on, any more just would have been more of the same.

^Just saw that. Not much of a surprise. Season 2 was just SOOOO over the top-fucking weird. I can't see it maintaining a viewership that would justify the cash Netflix would have to shell out.
