The scene in Superman III where Vera is turned in to a robot gave me nightmares for years. That whole set was scary.
Almost 40 years later I can handle it but it's still freaky. 19:30 shows that scene. The final minutes of the video is Christopher Reeve saying how his son thought he was called SoupMan and delivered soup. That's touching.
The junkyard fight and Annette O'Toole (plus of course Reeve as usual) totally save it for me. THAT'S the one? Have you seen 4? Oh. Never mind then...
I actually think superman 4 starts OK, has some good throw backs to superman, but goes downhill rapidly. Superman 4, Jaws 4..same
What jars me about Superman 3 was the blonde chick, one moment she's a super genius the next she's as dumb as a box of rocks, so not even sure how that would work in real life but it's a movie, mind you there are people like that so there is that. I still don't get how you can be totally ditzy one moment and then genius smart the next. It just jars me out of the story.
That's Rom's main arc on DS9. My guess it is a trope likely sprung out of what they use to call idiot savants and I think the term just become short hand for any person considered dumb but then does smart things. Plus maybe they also liked the juxtaposition of taking someone who is usually not considered smart in society, especially in the 80's and that would be a sexy blonde women but then showing her doing smart things.
This is before sexual discrimination lawsuites and human resources departments... Surely Lacy could have just threatened to fire Clark, unless he took his shirt off and rubbed her feet? Then it's just a question of how invested Kal was in to his Clark Kent identity? It would add another layer to his human disguise if every one in the office thought thar he was a craven bitch-boy.
Ah OK thanks I didn't pay that much attention to the movie. She was played by the lovely Pamela Stephenson wasn't she? He was practicing simping for Lois
Yep, she's married to Billy Connolly and is a PHD psychologist. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pamela_Stephenson
The old one. She played a nurse in one with someone holding her hostage with a hand grenade and a wannabe prostitute in an episode set in a bowling alley, both in season one. Her third appearance was as the girlfriend of the guest star in an early season two episode.
We used to watch the old version of the show and I would never have known one actor did 3 roles in the same series. Well that makes her even more awesome.
Something called Pretty Smart has been canceled at Netflix after one season. Apparently they're still making multi-camera sitcoms with fake laugh tracks.
