And the Next Cancelled Show is...

They have for a while, honestly. For years there have been many misconduct scandals with the Service. Hookers, strip clubs, long distance junkets to international venues on taxpayer dollars... The list goes on. I understand working hard means playing hard but goodness!

Well there you go. Just make sure you go super Canadian in case the audience doesn't get the setting. Like every episode must have a few Canadian Mountie, extra's. Lot's of Hokey and Maple Syrup puns. No gritty back alleys for chasing crooks but instead nice clean back alleys for chasing crooks since Canada is suppose to be super clean.

Well, Paul Gross will have to guest star on that one.

Oh and btw, if anyone's looking for a good Canadian crime comedy, look no further than the Bon Cop, Bad Cop movies. In a rare feat, the sequel is even better than the first, and part of it takes place on American soil. One of the funniest movies I've seen in years.

Not a surprise. I figured that would be the case after Netflix ordered three seasons at once, thus allowing the writers to layout the groundwork for the endgame, a la LOST. The way last season ended, particularly regarding Piper, pretty much confirmed it for me.

At this point, I highly suspect that both it and Iron Fist are moving to the Disney streaming service.

I hoping they'll be reconfigured as Daughters of the Dragon and Heroes for Hire.

CRAP. I liked that show.

I suspect that when Netflix licensed the shows, they became theirs, like Sony and Spiderman. As long as Netflix wanted to keep making them, they would keep the license. Why would Netflix sign a deal that any moment Disney could take back?

Unless Netflix chooses to do something with the characters, like a Heroes For Hire--which I doubt--Disney still wouldn't get them back.

But, like I said, I doubt Netflix is doing anything with them... but, then, if Netflix couldn't make them work, would Disney really want to spend money on an audience that wasn't enough for Netflix?

Yep. This one hurts me. Seldom when a show gets cancelled am I that disappointed, but, damn, I liked Luke Cage a whole lot and I really was curious what Season 3 would bring...

Alas.

I thought season 2 was iffy but I also was really interested in seeing what they were going to do in season 3 with how the season, ended. The next show up might be "The Punisher" which I think had the best season overall of any of the shows though it was missing not having a great baddie like Kingpen or Killgraves in it. If it doesn't get good ratings or views or whatever one calls it when dealing with a streaming service I could see it also being canned. It could be that "Daredevil" is the only one standing at the end because I think it gets the best ratings and is the most popular of those shows.

I haven't seen the 2nd seasons of Cage or Fist and I don't know if I should bother now. Are the stories self contained or do they leave much open for a conclusion we will never get?

It's sad Netflix has become just like any other network, they are producing so much content these days but they are cancelling quite a bit of it and I can't explain enough how much I fucking hate unresolved stories.

Season 2 of Cage is much better than season one.

Iron Fist is bleh.

What about consolidation?

If they split for Marvel, what about the Defenders?

Cage is pretty self contained, it's not a cliff hanger ending, but, the new status quo would've been interesting to see. I would watch it, it sort of resolves storylines from the first season.

But why would Disney bring back one and not the other? That's more my point.

I think it's because Iron Fist isn't very well liked and it's considered the inferior of all those shows. I could see them bring Iron Fist on "Luke Cage" and I could see them also wanting to bring Collen Wing I beleive her name is onto another show as well but not keep the actual show intact. "Luke Cage" I know has also taken a hit with a perceived bad second half of season 1 and mixed reactions to season 2 and lower ratings but I think most people still like the main character.

You know I even wonder if they might just bring these characters over to new shows like the Scarlett Which show or Loki show or something else.
