and the #1 top illegally downloaded show in the world is...

Short of a major restructuring of how the market works, I do not foresee a legitimate international service any time soon.

And until such a restructuring takes place, content producers and distributors are going to keep missing out on potential money because of it.

Heroes? Seriously? Wow, that's lame.
A sentence that wouldn't have been spoken if they kept the quality of the show like the first season's. After the first season, but the lackluster season finale I was hoping for Heroes to be this generation's X-Files. Now its just a one season wonder. :borg:

I still like Heroes btw. I think there's some kind of anti-Heroes bandwagon you guys all jumped on, it's not a bad show at all.

I'm not on a bandwagon. I have a very specific reason for my change of opinion on the show that most people I've come across don't agree with and even think is a good thing.

Personally, I prefer they take away their powers when they become inconvenient than just have them forget that the powers exist. At least the former is a plot point.

Heroes hasn't become bad, imo, just mediocre. I wonder if most people who download it download the whole show or just the first season.

That sucks because Heroes is such a stupid show. I can't believe that many people watch it.
Because it's better than over 90% of the other shows out there.

If there is a show that makes one wonder how anybody could watch it, I point directly at American Idol.

Worrying about that stuff with Peter is like worrying about unswept carpets when the house is burning down. :rommie:

Can't argue with that. Or all those interchangeable cop shows.

A part of me wishes they'll reboot Heroes completely and have the new season start right after the season one finale. Pretend the last two seasons never happened. Of course that might piss off some fans.

This. To me, the transition from season 1 to the latter seasons was just such a sheer fall from grace. It was like the writers went from masterful comicbook suspenseful pageturner to... blah.

That wouldn't be hard to pull off. Just have one character time-travel to the second season premiere, kill that character and then have the story simply stay with that timeline. There's no law that says a show can't do that, and it wouldn't be the stupidest plot twist they've ever done.

New spoilers say that they are bringing back that waitress that Hiro fell for in the first season. He's supposed to go back in time and be successful in saving her this time around. Desperation? Or good story telling? I would say the former. :borg:

Crap that's better than a lot of other crap is still crap.

On that, I completely agree.

Hell, if they did that, I might actually be convinced to return. But only if they ditch Ali Larter.

Why ? It's indicative of the show's number one problem - its writers inability to be imaginative when they're writing a show about superheroes.

Due to the way the market is currently structured, foreign broadcasters have to buy shows for airing in their respective countries.

And they're probably paying pennies on the dollar for them, especially considering they're only buying the shows that have proven to be ratings hits in the US.
