I just noticed that they have regional events and whatever, wondering how many people plan to or have attended these things?
I might attend a write in or two depending on how my November goes. It is also nice to meet new people and I'm sure some of them will have some fascinating and original ideas...unlike me.

The writing is going well - 8,733 words at 3.15pm on day three. Had a bit of a block inspiration-wise until I picked a prompt at random and hammered out 500 words using the brilliant Write or Die tool.

It is (kamikaze mode starts deleting your writing if you stop typing for too long) but it really helps. It's got me up to just over 11,000 words so far today.
Yeah, stuff like that is where I part ways with the NaNo philosophy. Writing a good book takes as long as it takes. Forcing yourself to write a certain amount in a certain period of time only ensures quantity, and little else. Being punished for not writing fast enough strikes me as counterproductive.Do people actually use the "kamikaze" mode?
Hey, that's where the protagonist of my current book came from!
Mark Titus was supposed to be the main character of this book I was writing, and all of a sudden this Robert Maxwell guy stole the show...
I'm a big fan of letting things evolve organically. Follow your plan to the letter--until you have a better idea.
