And Now Unfortunately you have to watch Knight Rider.

Guy Gardener

Fleet Admiral

Three words.

"Captain Jack Harkness".

And then "he" hits on the Cheerleader from heroes.

Not as exceptional as the Halloween joy last year when Emily Deschenal(sp?) dossed up as Wonder Woman and fought crime on Bones, but it's still a bit of a laugh. :)

that' was pretty funny :D
I heard they were going to make a reference to Billy from Battlestar Galactica but they must have cut it (same actor, same character name :D)

^ Yeah, he said so in an interview on Sci Fi Wire. That someone would tell him that he looks nothing like Captain Jack and that he should dress up as that Billy guy from Battlestar Galactica. At which point he would whine that he doesn't look anything like BSG Billy, lol. Too bad it was cut.

What's going on? A Torchwood reference on the abominable new KR?

Mark
yes I think im missing something as well.

Did the BBC buy the rights to Knightrider to fill in the gap on saturday nights, without Doctor Who? (that was my first thought when I read the thread title)

you need to register to read that forum, genius.
not all the time, and when you do, you tend to forget that you need to, and go around passing links to people without remembering it.

however IMO all Doctor Who fans should have an account at the DoctorWhoForum

A lame torchwood reference is certainly not enough to make me want to watch Knight Rider.

I think it'd take Dr House showing up in the Tardis with Jenny on one arm and a bikini-clad Sally Sparrow on the other, then proceeding to browbeat the shows cast for the next 45 minutes to get me to watch.

The new Knight Rider isn't that bad. It you take it at face value as the pure fluff it is, then it fulfils it's job quiet well. I snickered at the Captain Jack references. I do like the voice of Kitt... and he gets some of the best lines. Is it still Val Kilmer?

I'm just wondering if Torchwood might feel inclined to return the nod when they start up production?
Torchwood is already is production, and is probaly close to finishing.

I am waiting for it to air in the UK before I make my judgement, but I have seen the movie, and enjoyed it.

Yes Val Kilmer is still doing the voice of KITT.

OK, curiosity got the better of me, and I'm watching it now. I'm surprised Torchwood is popular enough to get a nod in a primetime network show.

^ that was my thinking, TBH anyone watching Knightrider who isnt a sci-fi fan, was thinking who the hell is that guy dressed up as, and what does it have to do with Tom Baker in Doctor Who?
