Ancient fanzines as eBooks?

Ah, the 80s. I used to print 100 copies of each zine I edited. I usually had a hand numbering system and, about a two years after my first art zine (which I sold for $5 each), was published, one supposedly sold in an interstate fan auction for $75 because "it was rare". The irony was that I still had about ten copies left at $5 each.

I saw a copy of a fanfic zine of mine go for a fortune on eBay. Fact is, I still have a box of unsold copies in deep storage in the garage. Sigh.

Someone set up a profile on my zines at FanLore and I recently did some corrections to the page:

There are sample pics of pages, artwork and even extracts of reader reviews. Because many of those reviews went into US small-press publications, I read some of those reviews for the first time only recently!

And, hey, maybe if you can unearth those zines you can make some retirement money. :-)

That is seriously cool--thanks for sharing! And, yes, Fanlore is just as error-prone as any other wiki. That's one of the reasons I do not care for wikis in general. Glad you found out so you could make corrections. :-)
