An Open Letter Apology to all here at the BBS.

Shouldn't this be in TNZ? I don't think many people are familiar with the OP or what he/she has said in the past. I often find blanket public apologies empty and insincere, and likely a cry for attention. Moving on ...

He's never posted in TNZ that I'm aware of, and since the majority of the board that doesn't see or visit TNZ wouldn't see the apology there, it wouldn't be a good choice.

If it helps, despite my ranking in post counts here, I am still unfamiliar with where this kind of post should've went....this, as Big Jake pointed out, seemed to make the most sense....it did to me.

Posting it here is fine.

Honestly, I'm always a little on the fence about letting these threads go on, since it's not really a "discussion" topic, but since your apology appears sincere and all is going well so far, I'm fine with it. As long as these type of threads don't start getting out of hand and people start confusing this place with their personal blog.

Thank you, Locutus. That is my view as well. Most impotantly, I simply wanted the message to get out there. Again, I am thankful to those who accepted and understood why I needed to apologize. If you would like to close the thread, I have no objections, if you think it will serve thing better. :)

And indeed, I have never seen a TNZ section on these boards. But it's alright. There are plenty of discussion subsections here as I see them. :)

I feel inspired by the thread starter, so I have something to say to all the people I've butted heads with over the years:

To quote Mel Gibson's ex girlfriend: I'm not sorry and I don't apologize. :p

Works for me.

Very well....I un-accept your non-apology!
(brandishes rapier)

Engarde!

:D

I don't know martok, you seem like a standup guy. You're completely wrong about some video game stuff, sure, but you don't need to apologize for that.

Well, for some of it you should probably apologize, but this isn't NeoGAF ;) Just refer to my sig.

Seriously though, don't sweat it.

Thanks, SPECTRE.

And yes, I dig your sig. :-)

martok2112, I haven't read any of your posts. I am, however, willing to forgive whatever you said. Being a gay man isn't easy where I live, due to intolerance. I applaud personal growth wherever I find it.

It appears you have learned a valuable lesson. You have the right to your views, I respect them... even when I disagree. That you are now willing to respect the right of others to their views, speaks much good to your character. Best wishes, sir. :techman:

I never apologize for anything. I'm sorry, but that's just the way I am.
That sounds like my grandmother, who died a lonely, grumpy old woman. Don't be her.

BigJake wins the prize on this one. ;)

J. is pulling our legs just a little. ;)

Yep. :D
That's good. I was starting to worry about you, J. :mallory:

Public apologies on a forum for bad netiquette are extremely rare.
I have also apologised on different sites for making members mad,etc.....

I dont do it purposely... Sometimes i am quite loud, especially if its an important matter to me..

The cover is very familiar, I may almost have decided to rent it a hundred times in the 90s, but I've probably seen everything from that era, especially after weekly rentals all started selling for a dollar on Tuesdays.

It's sad that I spent all that time 20 years ago watching all those movies and now remember nothing.

Kevin Cline is a young Steve Martin, which doesn't men anything any more since they're both old as dirt, or a massively less intense Campbell Scott.

No, I didn't find a Fish called Wanda funny at all.

DISAPOINTED!!!!!!
