An Idea

Ihlecreations

Captain
Captain
So with the upcoming Star Trek/Legion of Superheros comic coming out. I got inspired with an idea of perhaps Trek crossing over with the big guns of the DC universe, The Justice League of America. Kirk and Superman, Spock matching wits with Batman, etc. While I am not planning on a full comic just a cover. Here is a teaser sketch for my idea. http://twitpic.com/6859hb

I like that alot, I've always been envius of people with the talent to sketch and draw. Is it just me though, or is there a certain resemblence between Kirk and Clark? Great work on the cover.

Hair matches the former, the ears on the latter. Darkseid oppressing the Klingons and forcing them to do his will perhaps...

Darkseid would make a good villain for this. Maybe he is searching alternate realities for the anti-life equation when he stumbles on to the Star Trek universe. To take it further, maybe the genesis project has inadvertently come across part of the equation and used it to create the genesis effect.

Sojourner get out of my head seriously! I had been thinking of very similar ideas. Like the Klingon chancellor dead at Darkseids feet. Possibly throwing Sinestro in there as well.

^hehe. Of course my idea using the genesis device fits more with the WOK time period seeing as Kirk/Enterprise had no knowledge of it until events in that movie.

Well the genesis device wasn't were I was going. Was thinking more in the Omega particle route. But I have been thinking of using WOK era Kirk and company. I hope to have a prelim layout done in a few days. I will post as soon as it's done. Remember this is only a mock cover. Unless some one writes a script.

I can see some Klingons following a Cult of Darkseid, maybe the house of Duras early on, pre TNG. Of course, the negative energy barrier might make for an even better subject of study of Desaad, in how it is very like the source wall in some respects, although here it was meant perhaps to keep something in:

The great barrier at the galactic core was the inner perimeter:

And the Neg-E barrier was the outer fence line...

In terms of life forces, Thalaron radiation seems to be the inverse of the genesis wave. It might be that Darkseid finds that a use of this
http://memory-alpha.org/wiki/Metaphasic_radiation And The Genesis wave which started with research in the Taurus reach as far back as TOS (Vanguard)

Genesis to kick off a new Apokolips wave combined with thaleron and metaphasic radiation--anti-life in a nutshell. His science is beyond that of trek, bordering on Magic truly, so even though the Trek species don't have the full picture on the tech yet, so to keep it in TOS

Wow and all I am doing is a mock cover. But if someone get the ambition and wants to write a script I am all for drawing it.

OK so here is my idea, 23rd century Trek Universe, Federation physicist Dr. Ketteract on board a classified research station in the Lantaru sector. The molecule remained stable for a fraction of a second before it exploded, killing 127 leading Federation scientists and consequently destroying subspace throughout the sector through rupturing. (memory alpha reference) Well this destruction goes further than recorded as it destroys an entire galaxy in the DC universe. This alerts the Green Lantern Corps and gains Darkseids attention. As this particle if harnessed could be part of the Antilife equation. Well he uses a boom tube to rip the Space Time continuum and enters the Trek Universe. The JLA follow at the request of the GL corps as they pick up the pieces of the aftermath of the destruction of the galaxy and the tear in the Space Time Continuum as races from both sides are spilling thru. The Green Lanter Corp versus the Borg!!! This can be done as they infiltrate the DC universe and are never seen by the TOS crew.

Ehhh... You had me til the Borg. I hate the Borg, and not in a good way. Borg have been done and rarely well. I would entertain almost ANY other idea than the Borg. They are so boring. Watching the GL corps take on the Borg would be Lame with a capitol 'L' as some might say.

The rest of that was pretty cool though.
