I find the lack of compassion in this thread disturbing. The unfortunate thing about Ms. Winehouse is that she does have talent. One wonders what she could accomplish if she weren't on this self-destructive trajectory.

I'd argue she'd be nowhere without the drugged out rebel image. She might be talented, but IMO she doesn't stand out much beyond hordes of other talented singers out there who don't get a chance because they don't have a "gimmick".

That said, some of you really need to chill the fuck out. I can't stand her music or her lifestyle, but I'm certainly not wishing death upon her.

I actually never heard of her before until I saw this website. You think this thread is foul and tasteless, this website sinks to a new low, having people guess, to the minute, when Ms. Winehouse is going to die, all for an iPod touch. Although it says something when a site like this is dedicated to Amy Winehouse before a similar site is put up for Britney Spears (and yes, there is a similar website, which I posted on an earlier thread.) At least there isn't a website on who will die first.

Me personally, with people like Amy Winehouse and Britney Spears, I don't wish death on them, I just wish that they get help, get better, and most of all, get the HELL OFF MY TV.

I don't wish her dead or to get more ill. What I do wish however is that she, or the media, stops flaunting her(self) across the papers, magazines and news.

I very much agree with you and when I started reading this thread I was surprised that it wasn`t closed immediately because the poll is in very bad taste. But, so far, the discussion is pretty civil.

On the other hand, seeing her on the media so often has some good effect. My 5-year-old daughter asked me a while ago while the news showed Amy Winehouse obviously not at her best what is wrong with her? I explained that she is a famous singer who is destroying herself by taking drugs. "That is sad", she said. Recently we saw some pictures of her again in the news and her comment was: "She is still doing it".

I think seeing her on the news left some impact on my daughter and hopefully it will help her when she is older to make the right choice: Don`t start taking drugs!

Well with all the digs about Pete Doherty selling her drugs, cocaine, and this being an intervention, I think there was more to it then her just being pissed. Also, if I remember the episode correctly she got quite pissy with Simon for it.
