Amish Grace...

Late last year this book came out and while it wasn't a best seller, there were people still asking about it. Basically it is about the Amish shooting up in Pennsylvania and the aftermath. It is such a -- powerful story and such a great story. It is very humbling and very tragic. It's really makes you sit and think about your life and what is important and if you could forgive those that do such a horrible, horrible crime like this.

I mean there was a small part of the book about the aftermath and wow, my heart broke for the families. One mother held both her daughters as they died one after the other. It was so heartbreaking hearing these stories but even more is that the father forgave the wife.

The Amish though don't want to be seen as a symbol like this. Because they didn't choose to forgive. It is apart of their life, it is ingrained in them. They didn't sue, they didn't try to find people to sue, but instead they raised money for the widow and her family. But it is such a remarkable tale of what the Amish have done for the communities around them and how close they are.
