America's Got Talent - watching?

Are any of you watching AGT this season? Sort of new voting process now that the audience has a say plus with Nick Cannon hosting not Springer.

Still the same old outrageous acts although there have been one or two really amazing ones, this lady was a pretty incredible singer.

I don't recall them announcing a new voting process. Seems the same as earlier seasons episode's, wherethe audience is just very vocal.

I'm getting tired of it, quite frankly. Half the acts that make it through, or are focused on, are singers. They alreayd got their own show, it's called American Idol. There are more talents in the world than singing.

And I'm contiually annoyed by their running gag of dramatic sad music as someone tells their sad story, how they want to have a better life, get on stage and proclaim they rule, then proceed to suck massively.

Yeah, what's this new voting process?

And I am sick of the singers as well. It's a nice talent to have but honestly I don't find it at all entertaining to watch. That's why I don't watch American Idol. Watching people stand there and sing is probably the least interesting talent I could imagine. I'd rather see a magician or a comedy act.

They ought to have 2 tracks...the singers, and everyone else.

With the singers...at least older people get a chance, as well as others whomight notmake it on Idol (I thought Butter Scotch was great...she ought to get a deal)

Nick Cannon is good with the kids who are performing, but my wife especially thinks he otherwise seems bored or something.

Seems like they've cut some interesting stuff...the robotmusicians/breakdancers...i hope we'll see more than the 15 seconds we got

Well, I think it's just that the judges are now swayed a little more by the crowd than they were before and don't X people that the crowd is cheering for.

That seems to be what I've seen at least. This dude stirred up a little talk, people aren't sure if he's that good or it's just because he looks so dirty that his act is good. Whaddya think?

I don't watch this show, but sometimes it's on the TV while I'm at the gym.

The thing about this show is that, because of how many rounds there are, some of the niche performances get old because there's not a lot of diversity to them. The singers can at least sing different songs from different genres.

Also, if you play an instrument or Simon doesn't think you're a marketable commodity, you can forget about American Idol.

I don't normally watch these types of shows but I happened to be turning past it and caught this 8 year old boy that was playing blues guitar.

Boy, that kid could play!!!!
I wish him much success.

I'm getting bored by it. Singer after singer, talentless hack propped up and fails after talentless hack. Horendously annoying song after horrendously annoying song played on the back ground -- each having the same atmospheric sound as the occassional score cues. It's grating on my nerves. I find myself muting it often, or simply doing something else on the computer.

I really didn't think that guy was very good. I enjoy country music and I found his vocal talent to be greatly lacking. I have no idea why the judges liked him so much. I'm also convinced that his look/accent were a total act. After seeing Susan Boyle he was smart enough to know that the dumber and dirtier you look, the more everyone will be "surprised" that you have any talent at all.

Just found out that my friend was on AGT! I haven't been watching for a few weeks (got busy, plus I don't like Cannon replacing Springer). But she just finally friended me on Facebook and I saw that she had performed on AGT.

She is part of the Serenades of Marcus Terell and the Serenades, who performed on the MySpace episode.

They were pretty darned awesome. And I will definitely admit, Marcus is quite the looker!

My sentiments exactly.

It's actually been on for 3 years now...I believe this is the fourth season. I don't watch many talent competition type reality shows but I made an exception for this one. Though if this season doesn't start to get better really soon I may have to quit.

First time I have heard of this .All I have to say is not another reality show .

I wouldn't consider this too much of a "reality" show. It's a talent show, and those have been around for a very long time.
