Whenout of jail, they should be able to buy them like any other citizen...not a gun giveaway with a prison release.

Perhaps a federal grant for those who can't afford it then? We can't let hard times stop someone from having a right.
Should slaves be allowed to own guns? That's trouble brewing, for sure, but it's guaranteed by the second amendment.

Please, of course it isn't. Slaves aren't citizens.

The battle's done and we kinda won.
Unlike the South.

Not to derail the thread, but what is it with those cartoony horse things?

It's another TBBS meme totally lost on me.

My little ponies. Yet another cartoon from the 80's designed to sell toys
I was thinking maybe that, it just looked way too new.

It's the latest generation. Quite frankly, I much prefer the new generation to the older ones. This one has much broader appeal.

Anyhoo, to stay on topic...or at least in the same general area; according to ninjacore, black people should have to wait 50 years to be free of slavery and oppression by the government, but she should have the right to carry a gun wherever she wants, and she wants that liberty to stay available right now, instead of waiting.

They aren't really people if my understanding ninjacore's beliefs are accurate.

By her own words, they're less than equal citizens.

They were less then equal for their time...

That's how you feel about it now. You're fine with the idea of black people being enslaved for 50 years, as long as your rights aren't infringed upon. Keep in mind that you're advocating those people should have stayed slaves, and endured beatings, rape, inhumane treatment, death and disease as cattle for them, their children, and their grandchildren, all who would have experienced the lash of slavery before being free.

THANK YOU. Lamest. Meme. Ever.
Don't judge until you try it.

It's far better than you think it would be. Give it a try, all the episodes are on youtube.

As long as she has hers, she's fine. Allowing injustice to continue is but a small price to pay.

Exactly. She's willing to allow the oppression of an entire group of people, innocents no less, to keep her own freedoms. 2nd Amendment Rights combined with a downplay of slavery in favor of the Confederacy along with a willingness to advocate for those same States Rights™? Quite frankly, that's the kind of thing you hear from white supremacist groups. There are a lot of white supremacist groups who support Ron Paul as well.

Also, I contest the 50 years estimate.

The only reason emancipation happened when it did was because the the necessary conditions were met--which was no small feat. Had things otherwise gone along as is, it would have probably been up to (or even through) the Second World War and probably not until the 60s. In other words, the civil rights movement would have been the "free the slaves" movement. In that case, it's an entire century.

The fact that there is currently a fringe movement to return to indentured servitude (a happy-go-lucky name for slavery) speaks volumes. Yes it's fringe, but the fringe is getting bigger.

Kind of a moot point, since she's not old enough to buy a gun.

Maybe Daddy buys them for her.
