Instant differentiation has its advantages - in the states I found the opposite, that you couldn't tell at a glance in your wallet whether you had 1s or 100s, very annoying!
OTOH, we Yanks think lots of other countries' money looks like Monopoly money.Just face it. You lot have boring money...
