Amazing Race: Unfinished Business starts tonight!

^How do you feel that Justin and Zev were being assholes this week? I thought they actually handled things pretty well considering Zev's noise sensitivity issues. I don't even have that problem but I think I'd go crazy in a noisy situation like that as well.

Well, it was that and the complaining about not liking India but having to suck it up anyway. It's just that this is a show about Cultures and experiencing what other cultures go through and the complaining about the noise just seemed a bit iffy to me. Of course I'm not in that situation so maybe I'm off base here and I do agree once Zev got those ear plugs in, they were able to "adapt" but it was really the complaining that came before.

I can't believe she jumped in the Ganges. I hope they gave her antibiotics or something.

People bathe in that water in Varanasi, but yeah, that was certainly a "ew" moment. I doubt you get sick from just swimming in it a couple minutes, but I don't even want to know how much those clothes stank afterwards.

I agree that the show does a great job of showcasing cultures that the racers and viewers haven't had much exposure to, but I don't think that means they have to necessarily like all of the cultures they encounter. Honestly I think I would really dislike being in any countries that are so overly populated, mostly because of my dislike for being around so many people and having my personal space invaded. So in that sense I related very much to Zev's complaints.

Let's not forget that Zev has Asperger syndrome, so he's a lot more sensitive to intense social situations than the average person. I didn't have a problem with him complaining because it's very understandable why he was so uncomfortable. It's probably a good thing that Justin did that Roadblock instead of Zev.

Yeah, the Goths were pretty bad this week. Now that Ron and Christina are gone (well, just Ron, really; I didn't have a problem with Christina), I'm hoping the Goths go out next.

I forgot Zev had asperger Syndrome. For that reason I take back my original statement about them complaining. Maybe I've just seen so much complaining on this show this season that any more would have just gotten me annoyed.

Yeah, him having Asperger's is why I said that I thought he actually held up pretty well in that intense situation. I'm so glad that Ron and Christina went this week. I don't know how much more of them I could have taken. It actually has been working out nicely, as my three least favorite teams have gone home in the past three episodes. I really would be happy with any of the remaining teams winning. I don't know why, but I don't seem to be as bothered by Kynt and Vyxsin as other people are. They have said some rude things now and then, but nothing so overly offensive that I've grown to dislike them. Actually I have been surprised by how level-headed Kynt has been this season, staying calm even when Vyxsin is having her breakdowns and yelling.

My favorite team is probably Gary and Mallory. Zev and Justin and Keisha and Jen would come next, with the Globetrotters being just average for me. Now the Cowboys, for some reason I've never really been that fond of them. I don't dislike them really, but I'm not rooting for them to win.

Ron's logic train went off a cliff this week. I loved the bit about him thinking the gurus took off their clothes and went for a swim during the challenge.

I half-expected him to decide to take a break for lunch at some point in there.

Imo Ron just treated the whole show like a vacation and not like a game, which is fine if that's what you want, but you won't win.

Hey, gurus need to eat too...maybe one of them went into a restaurant...

"Well, I'm hungry, and I can't find gurus when I'm hungry. Jeez. Hey, I think this guy is making the curry slowly, he's just trying to screw us."

Good episode.

Austria looks great, and that library was gorgeous.

But did anyone else think that the naming of the tasks for the Detour (Long hard walk vs Quick easy meal) was obviously meant to be misleading? I just never would have trusted that the one they called "easy" was actually going to be easier.

I don't always like Mallory but she and her Dad are so good to each other, and they seem to enjoy racing so much, that I'm glad they get to stick around for another leg.

Definitely...I also find it hard to believe that they found anyone who could finish the food task. That's probably why they made this episode a non-elimination leg.

I think Gary managed to finish his portion, or nearly anyway, but yeah, it was a lot. Maybe the Globetrotters could have done it, as big as they are, I'm sure they are used to eating big meals too. I think the difference in this leg was simply the driving though, Vienna-Schallaburg-Vienna is at least an hour each way and Salzburg is another 3 to 4 hours depending on how much you care about the speed limit.

Just watched it - my partner visited Europe many years ago and has been to Vienna. Being a psych major as well he was positively giddy over the Freud stuff. He has put that library on our "must do" list when we go.

SO glad Mallory and her dad get to come back next week. Mallory is SUCH a nice person and always has a smile, never saying a bad word about anybody.

All we need is the goths gone and I will be COMPLETELY happy with whomever wins. Kynt was a whining, annoying little effeminate BITCH tonight. I just find him repulsive - physically and as a person. When it started I said to my partner, okay, how long until he starts blaming Vixen for everything. Didn't take long, did it? She is just as bad though as, after it finished, when they were in the car she was immediately justifying his behaviour. They deserve each other.

God I hope they don't win!

I was so glad Asperger's friend won the car - he SO deserved it. He is BY FAR the strength in that team("I'm TIIIIIIIIIRED!!!", "I don't wanna do this anymore!!!")and he REALLY deserved it!

He is not going to win the whole race so I am glad he got something nice for having to do so much.

Ugh, Kent and Vyxsin survive to argue another week. And I'm disappointed that the Cowboys were eliminated, but at least it doesn't feel as awful as when they lost the race last time.
