After having watched Star Trek: Enterprise, maybe Kirk was just stressed out and Spock helping him out with some of that "neuro-pressure" [sic] therapy that T'pol was using on Trip to help him sleep better. It doesn't necessarily need to imply slash.
Kirk asked Spock once that he wished Spock could show him how to do the nerve pinch. ("Naked Time" and/or "Omega Glory"?). Maybe that opened the door for Spock to show Kirk other Vulcan techniques that might prove useful in some way. Kirk wrongly assumed that it was Spock giving him the back massage in "Shore Leave" and Spock just simply stepped forward to let him know otherwise.

Indeed. Look how much he loved the Enterprise. His relationships were always more expansive than pretty young girls. He's too big a character to be tied down to just one form of love and eroticism.

If you were anyone else, I would say "yes"... but I often fear how your mind works.
On a more serious note, I agree. Although I don't generally see any eroticism with K/S, it's clear the characters love and admire one another.
In other words, this clip wouldn't be funny if there were no homophobia/sexism to make it so.
They don't have to be touching. Longing, meaningful looks will work just as well...
