Amateur Fiction websites

Hi, Please forgive me if this is a topic that doesn't go here, but I was wondering if anyone knows of amateur fiction websites where I can post some of my writings for free? I just want people to read what I have written and hopefully enjoy it. I have googled some, but they had all kinds of restrictions or were too complicated to figure out how to load my stories so i was wondering if anybody here could help me out. Thanks!

If it's fan fiction try fanfiction.net. They also have a general fiction sister site, which I can't think of the name of right now. Googled it, it's fictionpress.com

Lot of the people who write here know of other sites. So I'm sure they'll come around and suggest others.

I managed to get one story published on Fictionpress (woohoo three people have read it so far), but now I can't figure out how to get my other story published on it. It is kind of confusing.

Many people, myself included, use livejournal as well, for fanfiction and communities of like-minded fans of any genre! I post all my fanfic there - though I only have two Star Trek related ones, and those are on ff.net.

All my other fanfic is not Trek related

An archive I found relatively recently: An archive of our own. Just look it up on Google. I've generally enjoyed most of the stuff I've read there.
