Amanda Tapping joins Supernatural‘s eighth season

Stargate and Sanctuary veteran Amanda Tapping is adding another genre favorite to her resume as “Queen of Sci-Fi.” She’ll appear in a major recurring role in the eighth season of Supernatural, according to TV Line.
Tapping will play Naomi, described by showrunner Jeremy Carver as “cool and mysterious, part of a new group of angels we’ve never seen before.” Naomi’s demeanor is efficient and put-together, but this only hides a lot more going on under the surface.
She’ll make her first appearance in the seventh episode of Season Eight, titled “A Little Slice of Kevin.

They only hate young females that are brought in as love interests, the fanbase seemed to love Missouri, Ellen, the chick who had her eyes burned out by an angel and even Jo after it became clear she wasn't going to be used as a love interest.
As long as Tapping'c character keeps her finders of Dean she's save ... or maybe she will be allowed to touch him, I remember some Dean/Ellen shipping going on during season2.

As always, my love for Supernatural remains, but with it moving to Wednesday evenings and my new responsibilities at work, I'll be forced to watch it at a later time online.
