Alternate Universe 1:350 Refit - Livery Suggestions?

So I managed to convince my wife to let me buy the 1:350 refit kit, my favorite ship. I plan to build it up as an alternate universe kit for the UES Constellation. In my little universe, the ship survived (or never encountered) the Planetkiller, and was refit (or, perhaps, it was just built in refit format to begin with).

I have my own UESPA logo that I have been using for years that I am considering placing on the ship, but I am trying to figure out livery for the vessel.

I do not have a suitable United Earth emblem to match style and design ethic, and I am on the fence about using blue instead of red for the pennants, etc.

Any creative thoughts here on how to logo the ship?

There is some canon precedent that I found. This was on the Friendship One probe found by Voyager:

If nothing else, it's a jumping-off point...

Let me provide a bit more information on the backstory I am building from...

My little alternate universe is in the same universe as the novel 2001 (though I take visual cues from the film). Thus, upon the arrival of the Discovery at Saturn, Bowman goes through the stargate on Iapetus, which has lain dormant since. At the point where he returns to earth, both movie and novel suggest he is brooding over what to do.

In my continuinty, he determines that humans as a whole are not yet ready for the gift given by the enigmatic beings behind the stargate, and thus his parting gift is the destruction of the orbiting nuclear weapons platforms. Of course, nobody is aware of the cause behind the destruction of the platforms, and the tension caused leads to a rise in nationalism and a revival of technological advancement. In this universe, 2010 and the subsequent novels never happened.

Earth enters an uncertain period in its history. Somehow, several nations develop rudimentary interstellar flight capabilities and lanuch several missions, but it is all dissolved in a fury as nationalism returns to earth and her colonies. (Some early missions are launched by the UN as well.) By the early 22nd century, what had looked to be the core of a peaceful race is embroiled in conflict. Humanity holds back for some time. As the 23rd century dawns, Earth's second dark age wraps up, and the solar system knows peace. Earth and her immediate colonly worlds form an alliance and begin looking out towards the stars in her desire to explore and expand.

The alliance (I am still working on a suitable name, for which I would welcome suggestions, though I would imagine that United Earth needs to be in it as I am determined to keep the ship's prefix UES for United Earth Ship) begins encountering 'alien' races in its travels, races that turn out to be genetically engineered descendants of the early interstellar probes that went out towards the ends of the 21st century.

In this 'reality', the Constellation is one of thirty-six cruisers that serve as the UE's front line ship in a specific area of space assigned to her. She is a Generation II starship, and is named and numbered for the original Constellation (the seventeenth ship of the line constructed for service in the Sector 10 operations area, thus originally registered with navigational contact code 1017, a code inherited by the new ship). She files the UE flag, and is homeported at Starbase 10.

Does this provide any further insights into a design ethic for anyone?

For a "pennant" emblem for a ship's hull, take the star and sphere from this logo. Turn it so the star points forward. Make the star gold/or yellow, make the spehere blue (to symbolize Earth). Voila!

Would anyone be willing to take a few minutes and do quick text addition to a design for me? I have the USAA seal from 2001 in high resolution, but want to replace all the USAA text with the words UNITED EARTH INTERSTELLAR CONFEDERATION.

Feel free to PM me if you would be willing to help.

Thanks,
Rob+

Thanks to Masao, here is the logo:

And my rough plans for it (I don't have the Trek fonts installed on my computer at this time.
