Alternate intro

If they really wanted to go all-out, they could have used something like this:

By the way, here is another alternate intro, complete with a TOS/TNG-style voiceover by Captain Archer. It was posted on Doug Drexler's blog more than a year ago as well.

Beautiful intro, IMHO.

I liked this one very much. I wasn't a big fan of "Faith of the Heart" either.

Faith of the heart would be a nice poem. I often think of some of the lines when I enter business negotiations.
To me this alternate intro has great music and voice overlay but it lacks the visuals of man's conquest of first the oceans and than air and space.

This is REALLY good:)

I think a new arrangement of "Faith of the Heart," sung by Scott. Or Captain Archer doing the classic Trek voiceover. Either one would be cool with me.

I hate the introduction music to Enterprise. If mankind ever ventures out towards the stars it will be due to rational thinking, not simply faith and positivity.

Hm I guess me and the wife are the only people who like "faith of the heart" heh.

^ Me too. I'd have preferred a classic orchestral piece, but I can appreciate what they were trying to do with Faith of the Heart/Where My Heart Will Take Me.

I didn't like faith of the heart at first and it took a while but eventually it has truly become a part of the show and the message it sends.
About the classic orchestral piece, I liked In Mirror Darkly intro. It really created an atmosphere for those two episodes.

As far as the mirror universe goes, I think a fitting song would be the Russian March music in C&C Red Alert 3. Just seems fitting.

I really like the regular intro with Bakula doing the voiceover posted earlier, but I think there's too many shots of the NX-01. What I think would have been cool is the standard "final frontier speech", but use it as a regressive speech. Going in reverse through all the Enterprises from the E-E, D, yea even the C and B (bring back Harriman to do the voiceover for the B, than to Shatner for the A and the original, than ending with Archer showing shots of the NC-01 as the music ramps up.

Rational thinking is overrated. Great achievements are most often the product of insane enthusiasm and hard work.

The way I see it, to get something, you need to be driven, but rational thinking is what will help you keep it once you got it.

I think a lot of the problem is the arrangement--it's just too deliberately inspirational to work as the main theme, which we usually hear after something dramatic just happened in the tease. It totally kills the drama of my favorite tease, "Twilight."
