ALPHA's a new series on sy fy: disscussion and comments *spoiler*

come on it's only been one episode I usually give a series at least five episodes before I drop it.

There's too much great TV to work through to waste any time on something that seems OK at best right now.

There is great TV, now Monday's at 10:00 with a few summer series running as we wait for the big boys to come back in September?

I found it entertaining enough and it seemed a bit meatier and more visually interesting than stuff like Warehouse 13 and Eureka.

Nokia comment was awkward though and the girl's hem comment was funny considering how short her other dress was.

It was OK. But seriously, they are in a locked room with absolutely no point of entry except a vent, and it took a superhuman to figure out where the bullet came from?

It's suppose to be New York? Then Detective Mac Taylor was busy:vulcan:

Me, I'm trying to figure out what kind of ventilation system has one direct shaft which slopes downward at 30° from an outside vent to an inside room vent. Whenever I've seen a building's HVAC system, it's been all right angles and multiple branches

I just saw the pilot and it wasn't bad. Strathairn reminds me of Roy Scheider with the same look and mannerisms. I wonder when he'll shave that beard. He doesn't have one in the promo pics I saw. Anyway, I'll stick with it for the time being. It's a better made production than I thought it would be and I like the characters. There were some good hooks in there too.

Shh! This is a major reason for the show's apparent failure. Such comments must instantly be disregarded, for this is clearly the only show in the history of the universe to be filmed in a location different from what it's portraying.

(It's a good thing the show doesn't use actors to portray their characters -- err, I mean, "the real people on the show" -- though. Oh man, if such a thing were to get out, the repercussions would be staggering.)

Jackie Chan's "Rumble in the Bronx" filmed in Vancouver! Half the shots had Mountains in the background.

I finally managed to get around to seeing my DVR'ed copy of the pilot episode - And I really liked it! ... A lot more than I expected.

I like the more grounded and serious setting, the more limited use (and sometimes disadvantage) of special abilities.

The doctor/shrink guy is awesome, probably my favorite character.

Also, a big plus top the actor playing the "Wifi guy". He really does seem convincingly "autistic".

I'm definitely going to keep watching this with a lot anticipation.

I thought last night's episode was great. This show has been an unexpected treat. The acting is on point and the story so far has me interested and wanting more.

The bad thing though is I only live 90 miles from Binghamton! I sure hope they upgrade their security.:p:lol:

I watched it last night and I really enjoyed it. So far this seems to be coming together really well, and has a lot of potential once it really gets go.
