This thread should be limited to discussions of the Alpha Centauri Craft.

Does anyone have any documentation on the craft that will be used by Team Centauri?

Came across this article on the probes they are talking about sending to Alpha Centauri.

When I heard about the plan to use ground based lasers to launch, it immediately made me think of the light sail craft launched by the Moties in Larry Niven's "Mote in God's Eye."

Although Pye Wacket was terminated by 1961, research had shown lenticular-shaped vehicles possessed sound re-entry characteristics.

Just put this sucker in the nose of an Orion pusher plate, NSWR or whatever.

Oh hell no, we want to explore the system, not blow up any planet we find there.

Phooey.
