Spoilers All Things STAR WARS - News, Speculation & Spoilers Thread

Turns out in the future global warming melted all the snow and Ice on Hoth making it a Water-world. People are going to love it when he swims down to the surface and we see the old Rebel base from The Empire Strikes Back. He will then go to this floating city which is made out of the remains of old AT Walkers. Someone in the city will even have pet TaunTaun.

You know it was bad when a guy who had to put up with Wookiee farts all day in a confined space was overwhelmed by it...

Thing is, I can actually see that happening.

If Starfighter is set five years after The Rise of Skywalker, that would be about 30 years after The Empire Strikes back.

Would be funny if Ryan Gosling's character thinks he's Han Solo's long-lost son, only to find out that was someone else.
Named Ken Solo of course. Turns out his real dad also just had a first name until he ran into that same security guard. Turns out that security guards name is just Solo and he has no family line to pass it on so he always trying to get random strangers who only have one name, take Solo as their last name.

Sometimes behind-the-scenes production photos are informative. Sometimes they're downright terrifying.

Labria holds up for the most part 49 years later. Lak Sivrak not so much, but he was replaced in the 1997 Special Edition anyways with the new alien Ketwol. Ketwol has been in every home video and streaming edit since.

Back in November of last year I tried to divorce myself from 'championing' Emperor Palpatine as my favorite character from Star Wars due to how closely current real-world events have ended up mirroring those in the Galaxy Far, Far Away, but I started a rewatch of the Prequels and I just can't erase 30+ years of fascination with the character.

I also can't stop myself from loving Anakin, both before and after his fall to the Dark Side, or from loving Ben Solo/Kylo Ren.

I don't know what, if anything, that says about me, but it is what it is.

As an aside, I'm struggling to decide whether it's worth it to eventually spend a bunch of money to get my hands on all of certain characters' (Obi-Wan, Anakin, Ahsoka, Maul, and Dooku) different Legacy Lightsaber replicas, especially when most of the ones I'd need are discontinued and extremely difficult, if not impossible, to find in any condition other than Used.

There is no shame in liking villain characters, as indeed some of fiction's more compelling characters are the villains, especially villains who switch sides, regardless if they switch from bad to good or good to bad.

Hell, after my own real world experiences where I foolishly became blindly loyal to one of my former bosses who really was quite the douche, after seeing the light on the matter, I've felt a unique perspective in relating to Anakin/Vader ever since.
