Spoilers All Things STAR WARS - News, Speculation & Spoilers Thread

I'd just be happy if they fix the special edition scene of Jabba to where he looks "realistic", i.e. matches how he looks in RotJ. There's been several CGI versions and none of them even come close. You'd think it would be easier than doing, say, Tarkin or Leia since he's a non-human character and the uncanny valley is a bit shallower for those.
 
I'd rather they just lose that Jabba scene. It looked iffy even back in the day and time has not been kind to it. The scene adds nothing to the story really.

50th Anniversary of SW makes me feel old. Born in '79, so the movie was a mere TWO years old then.

The passage of time,
And all it's sickening crimes,
Is making me sad again.
 
So with D23 less than a month away, what are we expecting when it comes to Star Wars?
A trailer for Mando and Grogu that will be released online? More details about the upcoming films?
 
I predict Kathryn Kennedy will announce her retirement in tears while apologizing to the fans for the sequel trilogy. Then Lucas will come out and announce he is finally going to release the original SW movies on Blu Ray with all the special edition, editions removed. His first line when coming to the microphone will be 'Han shot first" no doubt to the roar of a cheering crowd.

Then Bob Iger will take the stage and say "She is back!" Gina Carano will walk on the stage and announce that she is the star of a new SW show that will feature her and Cobb Vanth. Then they will wheel out Rian Johnson in a pillory, at which point everyone in the audience will be given some tomato's to throw at him and boo him. Then the final speaker will be Tony Gilroy. He will be the one who lets everyone know he is the replacement for Kennedy. He will be in charge of all things Star Wars.

Not that any of what you posted has a chance in hell of ever happening, but Kennedy's job is not going to be filled by a creative person, as that would not make sense, those are two wildly incompatible jobs. If Gilroy were to take a permanent position in the Star Wars, he'd be far more likely to take Filoni's job, as that is the one responsible for the franchise's story content.

But then, I've explained all this to you before, and as ever, you are refusing to accept it.

We folks on the internet made them change their minds. Bob Iger finally gave into the wisdom of fandom. :)

Han shot, period. "First" implies there was more than one shot. :p
 
I came out the same year as Star Wars. My parents saw it in a drive in theater.

I would image some early ideas from Starfighter, as that should start filming around then. Maybe more stuff for Ahsoka season 2 and the Maul cartoon. Some stuff on Visions 3 as that will come out around then. Maybe an announcement for another live action streaming series after Ahsoka, as so far that is the last one we know about. And a trailer for Mando and Grogu.
 
The Holiday Special aired the month of my 4th birthday. Thankfully I have no scarring childhood memory of that event. :lol:
