Well, looks like I was wrong since The Mandalorian starts on March 1. Still, probably won't get Ahsoka until the summer at the earliest anyways.I'm hoping they're taking a page from Star Trek by having a show on most of the time, with a few weeks at most in between finals and premieres. Which would mean The Bad Batch begins in January and ends in April, The Mandalorian begins in May and ends in June, and then hopefully Ahsoka will premiere in July.
I guess this means it wasn't the Bad Batch they were worried about suffering during the overlap, but Andor. Since there's apparently no concern about overlapping with Mando.Well, looks like I was wrong since The Mandalorian starts on March 1. When the new season of Star Wars: The Bad Batch opens, months have passed since the events on Kamino, and the Bad Batch continue their journey navigating the Empire after the fall of the Republic. They will cross paths with friends and foes, both new and familiar, as they take on a variety of thrilling mercenary missions that will take them to unexpected and dangerous new places.
The journeys of the Mandalorian through the Star Wars galaxy continue. Once a lone bounty hunter, Din Djarin has reunited with Grogu. Meanwhile, the New Republic struggles to lead the galaxy away from its dark history. The Mandalorian will cross paths with old allies and make new enemies as he and Grogu continue their journey together.
Set during The High Republic era, Star Wars: Young Jedi Adventures follows Younglings as they study the ways of the Force and learn valuable skills needed to become Jedi: compassion, self-discipline, teamwork, patience, and friendship. [It will be the] first full-length animated Star Wars series created for preschoolers.
Star Wars: Visions is an animated anthology series featuring celebratory expressions of Star Wars storytelling. Seven Japanese anime studios brought their unique talents and perspective to Star Wars: Visions – Volume 1. Launching in 2023, Volume 2 will feature stories from creative teams from Chile, France, Japan, India, Ireland, Spain, South Africa, South Korea, the U.K. and the U.S. to showcase the incredible animation happening across each country and culture, through the mythos of Star Wars.
Set after the fall of the Empire, Star Wars: Ahsoka follows the former Jedi knight Ahsoka Tano as she investigates an emerging threat to a vulnerable galaxy.
Star Wars: Skeleton Crew, set in the New Republic era, is about a group of kids lost in the Star Wars
galaxy trying to find their way home.
Could be. I'm not sure though, the High Republic books already have a lot of stories centred on teenagers, a lot of them with ships, some flying the Jedi around, and while none of them completely lost (except for A Test of Courage for some duration), I'm sensing this will be different.Anyone else getting Star Trek Prodigy vibes from Skeleton Crew?
First thing that popped in to my mind.Anyone else getting Star Trek Prodigy vibes from Skeleton Crew?
What came to my mind more was the back half of that younglings arc on Clone Wars.Anyone else getting Star Trek Prodigy vibes from Skeleton Crew?
Not impossible, but also tricky considering they're essentially mutant clones. Echo is the only one that is actually supposed to look like Morrison (albeit covered in cybernetics, which incidentally should help disguise any need for de-aging), while the others vary quite wildly in terms of face shape.Just a random thought, there’s been a few jump to live action versions of the animated/comic characters lately- Ahsoka, Cad Bane, Krrsantan, soon to be Hera, Ezra, Thrawn etc
Do you think a live action Bad Batch would even be possible? One of them at least. You’d have to de-age Temuera Morrison, maybe desize him (sorry) but also make him look “different” as they’re not proper clones..
Would it be better to just use different actors?
I don’t think it’ll happen, certainly not anytime soon, just wondering. I do wonder what their ultimate fate will be in the timeline though, and for Omega
Wasn't there also an arc with children rebels? Something in-between them. (I wasn't too fond of how that one was written.)What came to my mind more was the back half of that younglings arc on Clone Wars.
You mean the Onderon arc? Or the bit where Ezra infiltrated the Imperial Academy as a junior cadet? The former were mostly Ahsoka's age (roughly 17 at the time) so teens/young adults, while the latter were naturally more Ezra's age (14-15 or thereabouts.) I think the characters from the academy arc were spun-off into a series of books aimed at primary school age readers; no clue what the plot was about but I think something from the got a namedrop in Andor.Wasn't there also an arc with children rebels? Found it after some searching. The Iron SquadronYou mean the Onderon arc? Or the bit where Ezra infiltrated the Imperial Academy as a junior cadet?
