As true as that might be, I do have to point out that even in the bottom panel, "corporations" is clearly enjoying it more.

Can someone identify all of those? Because I have no clue about some of them near the bottom. Maybe it's a regional thing.

BOB, as in Bob's Big Boy, the chain of diner-style restaurants with the statue of the chubby-faced little boy out front.

THE SUBWAY BOYS--Subway sandwich shops.

THE QUEEN, D.Q.---DAIRY QUEEN, the fast-food ice cream/burger place that has recently changed its signs to read "DQ."

As for the others, I've got:

Jack in the Box, McDonalds, Burger King
Wendy's, KFC
Papa John's, Little Caesar's
Panda Express, Taco Bell, ???

I take it Bob's Big Boy is correct, though in these parts, it's "Frisch's Big Boy", even though they have the same fat kid as their logo. And Subway & Dairy Queen are correct.

I've only seen that statue in front of Shoney's, never seen a "Big Boy" restaurant, so you understand the confusion there.

So what's "Troy" supposed to be?

I had forgotten about Shoney's, that's another one. Big Boy, Frisch's, and Shoney's all use the same branding. They must be the same company, with name constraints from state to state, like Hardee's and Carl's Jr.
