I'd be curious to know if it were 'shopped or not, and if so, what the original really looked like. Could be, they got the idea from a real picture, and then tweaked it to be even more horrible?

As eager as I am to jump on the anti-Twilight bandwagon, I have to admit, I have neither read the books nor seen the movies.

That being said, just looking at that picture makes me misty-eyed over the whole story of their love, same as it did in the theater and at home last year when I watched it (and I am not one to usually get teary-eyed). So well done, conveyed so beautifully, and so life-like. I can't imagine feeling the same way about Twilight.

I can read just about any kind of book, even the dreckiest of sci-fi smut and I literally could not get through the first paragraph of the first Twilight book. My wife rented the first movie and I didn't make it five minutes. It is absolutely painful to even be in the same room as either movie or book.
