Duh! -that's what you said! (I know: my question was formulated badly) -but did you then put some fresh bacon on it?

I mean: everyone who's seen any old movies know that if it hurts you put a steak on it -I'm just figuring it would be better with bacon!

No, I didn't even realize I'd burned it that badly until I woke up the next morning and it had blistered.

I think it was the hot grease still on the bacon more than the bacon itself. I took the bacon out of the pan and was adjusting it with one hand and still removing bacon with the other - and not paying attention to what I was doing.
