I did NOT know it was "a murder of crows." Can't believe I learned something useful from a thread bomb!

^ No, there really are people that clueless, and I wouldn't even have to go all the way to Georgia to find some.

It is - I use it nearly every day, but it's not always very helpful when you're trying to track down the source of an animated image.

I vaguely remember reading something about the Google Image tool smiki describes:

...

(but seriously, you guys know that there's the google "search by image" option, you just go to the regular image search and than you have a tiny camera icon on the right of the search box, and you click there and the rest is simple.. although in fairness, for some reason, it doesn't work in Opera for me, just Explorer) ;)
but I've recently been using Opera and, sure enough, the camera icon isn't there. Do you know offhand whether it works in Firefox?

This statement by Darth Duck tickled my funny bone so I had some fun with it.

Yup, I have Firefox also installed, and I've checked, and it worked. Well, Firefox is the best I guess (this was one thing Explorer could have had better, but alas). There is even a little keyboard icon, which pops out as a little keyboard, for Cyrillic letters, considering it opened my country's google home page for some reason. Aaaand... there is even a message there explaining the "search by image" feature. I guess it's a relatively new feature, maybe a couple of months... that's how long I know about it anyway.

Anyway, for some reason I like using Opera.

A couple of months sounds about right. I found Google's page about it and it says this:

How it works

Google uses computer vision techniques to match your image to other images in the Google Images index and additional image collections. From those matches, we try to generate an accurate "best guess" text description of your image, as well as find other images that have the same content as your search image. Your search results page can show results for that text description as well as related images.
Sounds like it would be similar to the way TinEye works.

Also:
Compatible browsers

Search by Image is compatible with the following browsers:
Chrome
Firefox 3.0+
Internet Explorer 8+
Safari 5.0+

George Lucas announced today that the blu-ray changes will now include Betty White and friends as part of the Jedi Order. :D

For some reason the BBS is not letting me post any of this without this first paragraph I am writing. I keep getting "The message you have entered is too short. Please lengthen your message to at least 1 characters." no matter what I try to do...

LAME.

Anyway. Here's what I was trying to post, let's see if it works:

Yoda said:
For being a friend, Thank you.
Back again the road, Travel to.
True, Your heart is.
A pal and a con-fi-dant you are.
And if a party throw you,
Ev'ry one you knew, Invite you would.
See you would,
From me the biggest gift would be.
And attached, the card,
Say it would:
"For being a friend,
Thank you....."
