Not to mention, I recently saw the movie "Fanboys", which has the same exchange between one of the main characters and Carrie Fisher, playing a doctor.
(It's a fun movie, if you haven't seen it. It's about three Star Wars fanboys on a quest to see The Phantom Menace before it comes out, because one of them is dying of cancer. In addition to Carrie Fisher, Billy Dee Williams, William Shatner, Ray Park, Kevin Smith and Jason Mewes have cameos, and Sam Huntingdon, currently on the U.S. version of "Being Human", is one of the fanboys. Kristen Bell and Seth Rogen are also in it. The way they portray Star Trek fans is a little less than generous, but Shatner makes up for it.)
