Aliens other than TOS aliens

Am I the only one who likes TOS Andorians better the way they were ?

I like the concept of the design better: ear-less, with the antennae originating from the back of the skull. I just can't deny that ENT's execution was an improvement.

True. But in ENT's credit, I believe it was some of the earlier Andorian makeup - the TOS movies, I think - that first showed the Andorians with ears. They were doing pretty good with an already established idea.

I think moving the antennae down as an improvement as well. The antennae were further up the head clearly to hide where they connected with the skull.

This movie is not complete without an insane, barking mad Federation captain who has set himself up like a god on some planet. Like Captain Tracey of the Exeter, Garth of Izar, or that bloody John Gill bloke in that Nazi episode (Patterns of Force). See, TOS got away with doing Space Nazis (TM)!

Of course there may not be any aliens but Vulcans and Romulans in this one, we didn't see other species on the Enterprise in TOS (either becuse of budget or other reasons I don't know). If we do I'd love to see Andorians and Tellerites (Enterprise versions) and Denobulans. For some reason I'd stay clear of any from the TNG era except maybe Trill.

The Andorians of ENT are quite possibly the only "improvement" that was actually an... improvement, especially after the mercifully little seen TMP and TNG iterations. Klingon foreheads were more trouble than they were worth and the less said about Romulan foreheads the better.

Brutal: Agree with you there. The portrayal of the Andorians, esp. Shran, was one of the bright spots in ENT, in a show that had far too few bright spots. My only quibble was the color of the ENT Andorians' hair -- looked more blonde than white to me -- and I always liked the bright white hair of the TOS show and movie Andorians.

Getting back to which aliens could be in crowd scenes, while it would be nice to see some of the usual TOS/ENT suspects, I hope they're more imaginative and show us glimpses of species we've never seen before, to add to the rich tapestry of images in the movie.
