Oh. I got the impression you were familiar with Holdfast's antics here.Actually, none of the above. I wanted to know the name of a particular episode, and thought that a natural place to go to would be a star trek forum. So I went to google, typed in "star trek forum" and guess what? THIS WEBSITE IS THE FIRST RESULT!
Quick random question: why does the VOY episode use Grey rather than Gray? I never noticed before, since I'm British so the former spelling is unremarkable to me. But now I think about it, how come the American spelling isn't used? Did the Confederacy deliberately use British spelling? Or did the Americanisation of the English language come at a later date, so the pre-Americanisation English spelling of Grey stuck?
The Squire didn't wear Civil War garb, either.
I wouldn't put any stock in that. Per person, it's usually one way or the other, not both.According to Wikipedia - Americans tend to use "gray" in reference to the color and "grey" as the adjective.
