I've played it and I didn't think that it was that great. I can suspend disbelief a lot in video games, but they tried to introduce too much I thought.
1.) It spans over 100 years and you fight the same person as the big bad in both parts of the story.
2.) Somehow the xenomorphs made an appearance in 2030s Earth (nearly 60 years before the Nostromo incident).
3.) All human technology is based upon reverse engineered captured Predator Tech.
4.) A Human/Predator hybrid is fought as the final boss.
5.) MOTHER was actually a human being/predator tech hybrid that was one of the big bads (it was the brain of the human that shot the Predator in the first level giving him the Scarface nickname and she was also the MOTHER of the child that became a human/predator hybrid). It was bought by Weyland Industries - specifically Mister Weyland - at the end of the game.
