Strange New Worlds has extras who don't react to anything. The Alien: Earth solution.... no extras!

I was going to bring that up. That whole base felt super empty for this episode, though I do wonder if part of it was due to Kirsh intentionally removing obstacles for some of his machinations to go down. (I would have thought that Tootles/Isaac was Kirsh's favorite, but obviously he does not care.)

I distinctly remember seeing one blurry guy walk by in the background when Joe and Arthur were talking, and Joe actually reacted to that person's presence by trying to act a bit more sneaky.

It is odd that the fired Arthur was all alone in the monitor room or synth lab or whatever it was, with absolutely nobody else in there to monitor anything.

Though I suppose that empty/isolated feeling is exactly what you want for a horror movie/show!

There were a few other security personnel the other week when they collected Nibs, but beyond that the base is quite empty. As you say it might be intentional

Even that big time meeting between Yutani and Kavalier at the beginning of the episode was super empty. Huge room, huge table, and it was clearly meant to feel like they were the only 2 people in the world. Even the two assistants that each of them brought barely made a peep.
