Seems fine to me. Wendy (aka robot lady) is a child "trapped" in a robot body. The actress does a good job portraying that. Alex Lawther who plays Joe (aka bro) is an interesting actor, who makes unusual choices. Makes his characters a bit quirky.

I understand the child in a robot body. It just feels like sometimes they're in a different show than everyone else. I wish I could describe what I'm saying better, but it takes me out of the show. Compared to Timothy Olyphant who's odd but fits the show, at least for me. whereas the other two feel more like I'm watching a Shyamalan movie

Also the camera zooms in too much on her for my tastes. feels like I'm watching the Bear all over again

Beyond that I don't really have a problem

As Nemik he felt natural. Here, it feels more forced for some reason.

That's where I've seen him before!

Yeah maybe i'll just get used to it. I can take some quirky acting when it fits a movie/show, like in some Wes Anderson movies.

I like it so far. But does anyone feel like the acting from the main robot lady and her bio bro is off?
ı am liked it, but the girl in the lead role is Nepo Baby. Her name is Sydney Chandler, and her father is Emmy award-winning actor Kyle Chandler. We will also watch her father's new Green Lantern show.

another nepo! tbf though some Hollywood nepos are good at acting (Jack Quaid, Wyatt Russell). As long as they acknowledge it. From what I know, it's worse now in Bollywood

I had no idea Kyle Chandler was her dad until the other day. I believe he's a good actor but kinda old for Hal when John is cast so much younger. If he were cast as Alan Scott, then I could buy it

By the way, I previously watched Sydney as the lead in the FX miniseries Sex Pistol, which was pretty good. Then she played a kidnapped young girl in Sugar, starring Colin Farrell on Apple TV Plus, but I didn't watch that.

I'm not sure if I've heard of either of those two shows

Alan is like 100 years old. ;)

Watched the first two. It was pretty good. The Alien (or aliens as I think) seem overly violent. They seem to be killing everyone than capturing them which is strange.

That eyeball creature reminded me of the Plagas from Resident Evil. That cat scene was interesting but I fear it means my sister won’t watch the show now. :)

I'm watching the second episode, and something keeps bothering me. You see, nothing would be intact of the Maginot. It would splash as it impacted at that speed. Folks have no understanding of the gigajoules of energy that speed and mass inherently has. (I welcome a more knowledgeable approximation of how much) No weight-mindful engineer would build for the structure to be as intact as we've seen so far.

Oh look, Xenomorphic activity already! And that's A.I.H.R. for ya when you ask for family leave. No doubt we will be facing that ourselves sooner than we think.

Have A Productive Day

Killing is kind of what they do. Though, sometimes Xenomorphs use their prey to incubate their "offspring."

Spaceship crashes being totally no big deal is becoming an overused trope of late.

I've noticed that, which only means that I'll just notice it more and more. Whatever happened to technical and scientific advisors anyway?

Look at the crash site of airliners which impact straight down (more or less) as opposed to crash landing. It makes a crater, and not much is intact. And that's a 100 tonne aircraft at 700 mph. Now upscale that to Maginot mass and velocity. I keep thinking Tsar Bomba level explosion.
