I've been thinking about something. Who exactly is Carl Rinsch?

Carl Rinsch is the director of Lovely Weather for Rain and The Quiz, two independent short films that no one has ever heard of from the mid-90s. According to IMDB, he was also the first assistant director of Dancing with Agnes, also a short film that no one has ever heard of, in 1999.

Apparently, he hasn't done anything in the last decade.

If we must have a prequel, I'd prefer to see the story of the ship which crashed on LV-426. Won't happen, but that's what I want to know about. I already know that a bunch of backstabbing jerks run Weyland-Yutani. That doesn't need to be expanded upon.

That could either be a VERY good thing or a VERY bad thing.

The big question for me is: Will there be any human characters in this movie? The feeling I got from ALIEN was that the Nostromo was the only crew of humans out in that part of space.

So, it'll be interesting to see how they do the prequel. To truly do it right, it seems it would be a film with nothing but aliens it in it -- just the jockey aliens and the Xenomorphs.

But, we'll see I guess...

I would have preferred Ridley Scott in the directing role. I know nothing about this other guy...
