Nobody's perfect. (Speaking of one who tries to avoid roundball along with football and hockey.)
I wish I could have met him
One of the unfortunate things that happened before he ended up being host of Jeopardy, was working on Pitfall, a Canadian gameshow. The concept was itself was pretty interesting, with the set having a series of elevators where each contestants would either rise or fall depending on their success, but it unfortunately ended up in disaster as the production company ended up going bankrupt and he ended up not getting paid.
I had a childhood friend who claimed he was related to him. I never ended up knowing if that was true or not, but it's certainly possible as they were both from the same city, and his Dad looked like he could have been related. One day he'd told me Trebek was in town visiting.
Saw last nights ep and almost teared up. Making sure to watch all of the final episodes. Thanks for this wonderful gift, Alex.
Here's the tribute.
Game Show Network is holding a Jeopardy marathon tomorrow from 9am to 3pm. (EST)
Trebek also hosted Wheel of Fortune on April 1, 1997.
And then Pat Sajak returned the joke:
Separate names with a comma.
