I find Alcatraz way more interesting...Terra Nova is a joke.

I've heard this song & dance before."This could be a great show, if only the writers would get their shit together."
But they never do, do they? If they were going to produce something good, they would have done that from the start. Fire them and start over with a new show entirely. There must be some good writers in LA.

This is completely false.
There's more shows I know of that get better AFTER the first season than not.
I mean, all of the modern Star Treks took their time, Farscape took until the end of season 1 with "Nerve" and Seinfeld is my favourite comedy ever. And I can't stand season 1. Sure, people may not agree with these specific examples, but it's definitely par for the course. Why can't Terra Nova improve?
It just sucks that in today's market-place, they can't afford to take their time to find their voice. Who knows how great some of these shows might have been!
Re the thread title, Fox will not choose between them. Terra Nova will be canceled and Alcatraz will be canceled. Neither gets good enough ratings. (Terra Nova has appeal but being a show lots of people like to catch later on the internet counts for nothing but good will. Fox is a Murdoch operation, they really only get ill will.)
I really wished they would've went with LOCKE & KEY it would've way better.
and both shows are a great disapointment.
So, if you're keeping score, that means Alcatraz, The Finder and Fringe are all in trouble, Touch has an uncertain future and House is no longer there to fill one of Fox's Monday timeslots.
So did Terra Nova's cancellation just save Alcatraz?according to Bill Gorman over at TV by the Numbers, the situation is not so dire that Fox would keep an underperforming show on the air just to fill time. Cleaning house on all their new shows is probably not a happy prospect, but they've done it before.
