Akira-class Bridge

Has anyone come across possible designs for an Akira-class bridge? I've seen several diagrams that seem like they'd be a good fit for the vessel but was wondering if anyone else had any ideas. I ask because I'm considering using an Akira-class vessel in the fan fiction story I'm working on, and wanted to accurately depict where each of the crew members sat relative to one another. Thanks!

Would you be including the common idea that the ship has vast hangars and a "carrier" role or capacity, too? If so, the bridge might be a bit more imaginative than that - perhaps with multiple levels and large windows providing a direct view down to the hangar, so that several of the bridge stations would be doing small craft management?

There are some windows there, yes. Might be there are even more inside the hangar.

There are also some windows looking down and aft immediately aft of the bridge. They oversee what looks like a repetition of the aft-facing hangar door setup, only in miniature. What to make of that?

Possibly. Personally though I'd prefer if the bridge were more focused on operating and navigating the ship, and as in today's aircraft carriers, flight operations are directed from a dedicated room... The ship's CO need not be distracted by the movements of every little fighter under his command, other than his underlings relaying information from the ship's sensors or what have you.

Looks like the only way to the briefing room is through the crew lounge or ready room.

Seems pretty cramped overall as well.

I agree with Squiggy, the floor plan linked in the OP seems to be either out of scale or overly cramped.

There we go. Yep, this looks more like a dedicated hangar bay ops facility than anything they could shoehorn onto the bridge. And relatively protected at that, especially from frontal assaults.

So... the Defiant bridge?

Nope.

The more circular NX-class bridge had inward-facing consoles around the captain's chair, not outward-facing ones like the more elongated Defiant-class bridge. The former also had a turbolift to lower decks, while the latter simply had doors that opened out onto the rest of deck 1.

Seeing as how its been established that bridge modules can be changed relatively easily there might not be a standard layout, but rather different options for different mission.

I found a gallery of 'Federation Starship Bridges' on Flickr that is a good place to start if you're looking for options. There are 190 currently, some are from the Star Trek Fact Files but most are fan-made.

But I tend to think that the module itself being swapped would be a relatively rare occurrence. Don't want to go confusing the bridge crew with new seats and stations all the time. Unless you're Kirk and get three different modules over the course of eight years on his Enterprise-A.
