My guess is Inhumans gets cancelled after its first season of 8 episodes with no second season and AOS gets renewed for Season 6 since there probably won't be any viable Marvel show to take its place on ABC.
I'm also excited for AoS 5th season return. It's a show that for whatever reason has held onto it's "stinker" status by those who didn't care to a part of the build up. Unfair but in the age of the internet that's how it often works out. The show has grown and built itself, characters and mythology up very nicely. For those of us who've stayed with it, we've enjoyed that. Since Lance Hunter wasn't with the team at seasons end I'm wondering if he only joins at a latter point into the season. Another possibility could be we explain the time jump from the last shot wrapping up things to that teaser shot in space and that's how Hunter is there. If Bobbi comes back I want her in a more "comic costumed" likeness, one episode or many. The show stuck it's foot in the "super hero/costumed" pool in S2 with Deathlok. Sif cameo. In S3 we got Skye revealed as Daisy/Quake and she now looks more like her comic version. S4 we got Ghost Rider and to a much lesser extent a version of Patriot. I expect S5 is going to give us more comic to screen versions of someone.
The first story arc, or "pod", will run 10 episodes. Of course, even if our crew spends that much time in space, we know that we will still be spending at least some time on Earth because we know from the 20-minute preview shown at NYCC that... Spoiler: Meanwhile, back on Earth... ...Fitz was left behind on Earth.
I'm looking forward to some space adventure, but I hope that's not the Brood-- I hate the Brood. Anyway, wouldn't the Brood be off limits, since they're an X-Men thing?
Judging by the extended promo I will speculate Spoiler that Fritz finds Hunter since he has been left behind . It should be safe to assume that Hunter's relationship with Bobbi did not survive
Man, I really, really don't want anything happening to Bobbi and Hunter's relationship...especially off screen! Not after all that time to make their departure together be earned.
Actress Dove Cameron has joined the show in an unspecified role. Cameron has previously played (Spider-)Gwen Stacy in an animated Spider-Man venture.
