After Season 1, where did you think Season 2 would go?

I expected new adventures with La Sirena with a non-Starfleet perspective. Picard adapts to his new synthetic body and what it means to be a synth. Jurati deals with the charges against her, with possible a Phillipa Louvois cameo. Soji and Elnor deal with Picard as a father figure. The romances of both Jurati/Rios and Raffi/Seven would get developed. We’d learn more about the possible Fedxit. And possibly visit DS9 at some point and learn more about the post-Dominion War universe, specifically Bajor, Cardassia & Ferenginar. I also though they’d keep the format of opening episodes with a flashback to a particular event with members of the La Sirena crew, to keep filling in the gaps between NEM and PIC.

In reality, only the Raffi/Seven relationship got any development and the rest got pushed aside. Though we did finally get something post-Dominion War related in S3.

I assumed that Season 2 would not forget that Picard was a robot and find a way to undo his transformation into a golem.

And then I assumed that Season 3 would not forget that Picard was a robot and find a way to undo his transformation into a golem.

I was mistaken.

However, we did get more barfing, which I did expect.

And a season-long arc about the evils of...21st-century Border Patrol...which I did not expect.
