After all we have seen, will you be there when the time comes ?

What's a little odd for me is that "the wait is over" as far as the movie I'm most looking forward to seeing this year - I just bought my tickets for the 7:00 PM showing of "Watchmen..."

I'm gonna see it but I still think it could suck... if that's what "serious concerns" means...

I think every reasonable man or woman should allow for the possibility that the movie could be either good or bad.
No matter how good the ads and the trailers are.Or how excited or hateful one is.

By "serious concerns" I more had in mind all the visual and canon issues some fans seem to have, as well as the casting decisions, the spirit of Trek and the faithful or not interpretation of the characters... That sort of thing

Not necessarily. My life's experience indicates otherwise. I've never drawn a conclusion about whether a movie would be enjoyable, based on this much information, and had it turn out wrong. What remains to be seen by this point, generally, is if a movie is quite as good as I hope or quite as bad (or worse) as it looks.

I've obviously got a lot less data on the latter since - presumably like most people - if a movie is clearly bad in previews then I generally don't see it unless as part of some social experience.

Being disappointed in a movie - "well, I expected/hoped for more" - is different from finding it "bad." I've been disappointed by some pretty good movies. ;)

I can't say I really disagree with what you are saying here.

Disappointment or living up to hopes and expectations was more what I had in mind when I said "good or bad".
But those damn English not being my native language doesn't always help me. :)

Even if the story turns out to be crap, and everything I've seen so far indicates otherwise, it would still be on my watch list for all that Trekkie eye candy!

Well, other than those darn Enterprise interiors. They still look too arty to me. But that's not too big a deal.

Of course I'll be there!

I'll be there on opening night.

My ONLY concern is that I've been spoiled too much by the trailers.

No worries. Someone in the know recently said this film is still, despite all the trailers and the 20 minute screenings, keeping a hugh secret.

I'm seeing it no matter WHAT my current worries are. It's been almost four years since ENTERPRISE was prematurely canceled and close to seven since the last movie, which was---to be kind---a disappointment. My TREK drought has gone on for too long and even uber-cool TOS Remastered episodes with all-new f/x couldn't satiate my thirst.

I believe it is the right time for another poll.

Months have passed.
We've heard the cast, the writers and the director talk, we've seen lots of trailers and ads, we've seen pictures and screenshots, we've seen the tie in comic books...

So what will you do when May comes ?

I will definitely be there. Some concerns I may have are not enough to keep me away.

I will be there with as many people as possible. Next month I'm going to order tickets in advance for 12 people (as that's how many have agreed to go). I have no concerns whatsoever about this movie.

I intend to see "Star trek" but I still have serious concerns

My concerns are about the general design of the film and going to the time-travel well again. Still will be at the 12am showing on May 8.

"I intend to see "Star trek" and have no serious concerns"

I intend to see the very FIRST showing of it in my area. I will be there, on opening night.

I should clarify that when I say opening night, I do mean roughly 7:30/8:30 PM when our theatre shows it's mainline movies. Still, I expect a line and will order them in advance.

My one serious concern is a concern I have with every single movie I go to see (except Twilight) - that all the good bits we've seen in the trailers are all the good bits out of the movie, and we'll be paying to everything else, everything less-than.

I hope they've held back with the previews, I really do.

Even TWOK had its weak moments. I don't expect XI to be any different...or even as good. I just want it to be good enough.
