Adrienne Palick to play Lady Jaye in G.I. Joe: Cobra Strikes

That blows about Scarlett. Maybe she (Rachel Nichols) was busy with Conan (signed for possible sequels) or another film?
 
I am somewhat excited that The Rock will be in it. They certainly seem to be casting this thing. Hope it's better than the last one.
 
We do have a G.I. Joe 2 thread around here somewhere. In that thread I posted a tweet from Rachel who said she had read the script and the producers wanted to introduce new characters. There will be no one returning from the first movie. Also there is a rumor out there that Bruce Willis might have a role in the film.

As I said in that previous thread I've no interest in a second film. I thought the first one was decent fluff with an excellent performance from Joseph Gordon Levitt as Cobra Commander. I'm not sure how you can have a sequel without CC unless he's been recast or is in the shadows lurking.
 
^ Unfortunately no. I just follow her lol. Yes, I might have forgotten that only those three would be back. It's been a while. Essentially though it seems the plan is to introduce more characters from the mythos.
 
the first movie wasn't as bad as some people claim. it was certainly better than Revenge of the Fallen. i hate that Baroness isn't coming back though.
 
While some of the new cast members are fun to watch, I would have liked to see more of the original cast return (in some cases, more the characters than the actors). Adrienne is a plus in my book. I'll be checking out at a matinee.
 
They should just reboot it already. Yeah, it'd be fast, but how long was it between Hulk reboots?

The first movie sucked. Really sucked. It failed on every level if you ask me. I won't bother with a direct sequel. Based on how awful the trailers looked for the first movie though, I would never have gone if I wasn't goaded into it be friends. But this one? No chance.
 
I'm glad she's got something since the Wonder Woman debacle. It will give me a chance to see how well she covers this type of territory. In the back of my mind I'm sure I'll be thinking about what might have been, especially if she kicks ass as Lady Jaye.

Disappointed that Nichols won't be back, same with Marlon Wayans. I liked their budding relationship in the first film. Wouldn't have minded seeing more of that, or the Ripcord-Scarlett-Snake Eyes triangle. I'm more surprised that Baroness won't be back. Her relationships with Duke and Cobra Commander was at the center of the last film.

However, I am glad they are using more characters. Though Tatum did all right, better than I expected as Duke, I wouldn't mind if only Snake Eyes was the returning Joe. The Rock as Roadblock and Snake Eyes would be pretty awesome. Throw in someone for Ship Wreck to bring the comic relief, and Flint and Lady Jaye for the romantic banter, or a Ship Wreck-Flint-Lady Jaye triangle, and you got a movie. I read somewhere that Jinx was supposed to be in the film. Is that true?

I'm wondering if any other Cobras will be back besides Storm Shadow? Hopefully JGL will return as Cobra Commander. And Zartan seems like a definite to come back. Wouldn't mind seeing Major Bludd and Firefly. I never thought either dude got much due, but both were bad ass.

as for Cobras, there's plenty they could use since Destro and CC were stuck in jail and Baroness went through a face-heel-face turn.
