Admirals Yacht

Another design I have visualized for years and finally decided to try and draw (in CGI).
I envision this ship to be very small. Smaller than Defiant in fact. It would have 2 decks through the central portion where the "saucer" is thickest with a single deck running through the outer edge. You can get a rough idea of deck placement by imagining the outer deck to be about the same "level" as the impulse exhaust. The lower deck is at the same level as that "bench" structure around the warpcore. The rough out of the warp nacelles are inspired by Gep's work on the Bozeman. I had originally planned on using something more TNG in style but it looked terrible. The Impulse engines are also inspired by Gep's Bozeman.
This ship is too small for a hanger and is therefore design for regular planet landings. Egress would be through a landing ramp/leg that would come down from just in front of the deflector dish.
I see the ship being used mainly for transport of relief personnel and supplies to small outposts and research stations. The ships complement would be about 6-8 crew and a max of 40 passengers if using double occupancy, but more commonly about 10-20 passengers plus cargo
.
Top deck: command and mess deck - there is a push out on the upper hull I have yet to add that will be the bridge. The inner curved surface to the rear would have multiple windows for the mess.

Bottom deck: engineering deck - warp core, transporters, egress ramp, etc

midring deck: crew/passenger quarters, cargo, small medbay (very small). The mid deck can be reconfigured based on mission needs at any star base.

This ship would be very lightly armed and is not intended for combat.

Oops, didn't realize these were so big! Apologies to anyone with small screens!

You could resize them. Not all of us have our computer hooked up to an IMAX screen.

You're linking from Photobucket, which does have the option to use a thumbnail link to the full-size picture.
