ADMIRAL JANEWAY'S RETURN!

If the new show is set in the same reality as the rest of the tv shows then it's highly likely some former cast members will make guest appearances. Nimoy, Kelley, Doohan and Takei all guest starred on one of the spin offs. I do hope the new series is set in the main timeline. I want the stuff that happens to matter. Nothing that happens in the Abrams timeline apart from Nimoy's Spock being there means diddly squat to me since it's a different reality.

I just want this show to be snappy and modern and look great.

The worst thing that could ever happen to Star Trek: if it was a procedural.

:barf:

Star Trek NCIS would work well.

A team of investigators deployed to murder sites and other problem areas.

That makes more sense than what usually happens in Star Trek, where they just constantly run afoul of random alien/god shit by accident 26 times a year.

Seriously if the universal density of weird shit happening is that thick, there must be thousands of events determined as ridiculously dangerous happening within a few days travel of the Enterprise at any given moment.

How far did you make it through (the fanseries) Hiddenfrontier Teacake?

I didn't. It is uhh.. on my list.

There are so many things I'm afraid of. Procedural isn't anywhere near the worst.

CONSPIRACIES! that do the Lost onion thing, each week a new one revealed, will it all make sense..

ANYTHING to with the mystical. DS9 pulled it off because we always had the understanding that one person's mystical is another person's alien contact. Worst case scenario would be secret special symbols pointing to something we never understand because, god.

I'm guessing it's the freaking Academy though.

I have a very hard time believing that CBS will incorporate any elements of the "Prime" timeline, but its possible. Maybe Kate will have a role in the new series - but as someone other than Janeway.

It's not actually incest if the person is you. A clone, yourself from the future or past, your MU self.. it's no one's business what you do with yourself.

But it would probably be covered under the broader definitions of Sodomy which are still semienforced in some parts of the States, the Middle East, Asia and most of the world really...

When there's more than two yous who've started a timeorgy, feelings can be hurt enough that you wind up shooting yourself with a gun dead because you can't play with yourself well.

When there's more than two yous who've started a timeorgy, feelings can be hurt enough that you wind up shooting yourself with a gun dead because you can't play with yourself well.

But killing another version of yourself is perfectly legal and societally acceptable according to "Time Squared".

Now we know why Tom Riker was eager to get off that ship.

So you shoot your future self because he was monopolizing your other future self in the timeorgy.

This is a case of "I don't want to go blind, but can I keep masturbating until I need glasses?"

So what if there's like 15 of you fucking you and getting fucked by you and it's complete heaven for every one of you except for the guy shooting you, who you've already been, and the guy who gets shot, who you are not going to be until you get around to being serviced by, and serving every other you with their pants around their ankles at the time orgy.

You'll keep going back to the start of the time orgy as a different participant because it's further along in the future and you're still you, even though you keep thinking (Russian roulette with your dick is an Eddie Murphy joke) "I really shouldn't keep going, it's not safe, but it's fun as heck, and so long as I'm sure it's not yet my time to get my face blown off, it's more orgasms right now for me and me and me and me and... But certainly I'm sure I can paradox out, change my fate and save myself just before I did shoot myself because I'm not as dumb as the dick head I already shot who happened to be future me when I was past me. It's all good as long as I can count to 15.

It will have to be set in the new timeline if they want Mulgrew to appear because we know that prime (older) Janeway was a svelte, silver haired fox.

Once we see a flabby little Mulgrew wobble onto set, we'll know she can't possibly be the same Janeway. She must be from the other timeline.

...

I'm OK with a procedural. A Federation detective who investigates murders on various ships, planets, etc.

Or a section 31 agent (but it would have to be dark and sexy).
