Enterprise!!!

I would love to have seen what they would have done with season 5 (preferably not all TOS/TNG tributes all the time), but Manny Coto showed how much fun Enterprise could have been.

As much as I'd have liked ENT to have a 5th season after the superb 3rd and 4th seasons, I would prefer DS9 to have an 8th season so they could gradually tie up all loose ends. It would be time well spent.

After it's medicore 3rd season, I don't think TOS would have benefited from a 4th season. Movies were the way to go there. Similarly, TNG was starting to lose it with it's 7th season and ended when it should have. I can't help but feel VGR would have continued to waste an additional season with good but not great fast food entertainment with episodes that could have aired in almost any of the previous seasons.

Voyager should have had one more season in which the events in "Endgame" should have been explained as something taking place in an alternative universe or the result of some mind-controlling thing from some powerful aliens.

The result should have been that Voyager should still have been in the Delta Quadrant when the new season started. There should have been some more adventures with encountering new species, Neelix should have returned, Kes should have returned and the events in "Fury" explained as something caused by the female Caretaker or some malevolent being from a mirror universe. Then it should have been a final showdown with the female Caretaker and a real homecoming when we would have seen our heroes being received by relatives and friends.

Maybe a happy ending between Janeway and Chakotay too. :)

ENT. One season at least, under Coto's direction. It was going interesting places at long last.

Seeing DS9 post-Dominion for a season or two would also be worthwhile.

I'd gladly erase all 14 total seasons of TNG and VOY and re-distribute them to Coto's ENT and post-Dominion DS9. :D Emphasis on ENT and a sequel series that keeps the story rolling but not necessarily with Archer & crew as the focus.

As for TOS, I'm holding out hope that we will see it back on TV in the not-to-distant future, with the new recasting gang. Or at very least, they can drop by for cameos.

I voted TOS, specially if it could be a season of the Captain Pike series, before the first season of the Kirk TOS.

ENT season 5 would be good to have too, as long as it didn't just show the Earth-Romulan war (season 3 was my least favourite of ENT).

I voted for DS9 because I wanted to see the beginning of reconstruction efforts, which could serve as the context for another series in the 24th century someday. But ENT didn't occur to me, I think because the poll asked for only one season. I think ENT would have needed at least two or three more to do what I would have wanted to see. I think a fifth season could have done some prequel arcs as in season four, but I would have liked to see it ramp up to the Earth-Romulan War and finish with the treaty and the forming of the UFP. They seemed to play fast and loose with pacing the chronology a little more than 24th century Trek, so I think they could have compressed the six years between 2155 and 2161 into three season well enough if they wanted to.

TAS. In fact, that's the only series I would want another season of.

TOS - Seriously had gone downhill. With a (very) few gems such as Enterprise Incident, it was marred by sloppy writing and bad direction from the production team.

TNG and DS9 - Probably in the minority here, but I think they both did really well, and like them the length they are. No need for a generic eighth season.

Vgr - Gods, no. It had been coasting for three years already. Another shitty season? No thanks.

Enterprise - No. Just no.

The Next Generation seemed a bit stale in season 7, so I don't think season 8 was needed. DS9 seemed to wrap everything up just fine (I don't think they needed another season). Voyager was directionless for season 7, but I don't think a season 8 would have given them any more focus in getting the ship home. Enterprise and TOS were the only two that were cancelled. Of them, the third season of the original series was grasping at straws, plus it has all the great movies to make up for it, so I don't think a fourth season would have been an improvement.

That leaves me with the majority here with a vote for Enterprise. Not only did the fourth season have focus, it looked like they already had plans for a fifth season. It definitely could have used an extra season more than any of the others.

At first I was going to say TOS, but after mulling it over I joined the crowd and picked Enterprise. Like everyone has said seasons 1 and 2 were just dull. I didn't get into it until the whole Xindi arc started. They seemed to be on a roll and would love to have seen where they went.

TOS did deserve a real finale though. Season 3 was sub par compared to the first 2 but just to leave it hanging like that stunk on ice.

The weird thing is, if TOS had a fourth season, none of the other stuff may have happened. Still, it would've been interesting to see TOS with Roddenberry involved (or someone else as dedicated) and attracting good sci-fi writers on into the early 1970s at the start of the M*A*S*H and All in the Family era of more openly issue-oriented TV.
Give me ten entertaining seasons of TOS (1966 - 1975), and I'll give you the rest of Trek (movies and series) as if it never happened.

Enterprise is the obvious choice here -- TNG was starting to lose steam in Season 7 and DS9 had a great finale and the wonderful Relaunch to continue the loose ends of the story and add more twists.

Voyager could have used a better written final season is all but giving them another wouldn't have helped with the same writing team.

Enterprise could have briefly covered the Romulan War and BOTF in season 5 albeit at a fast abreviated pace covering many years in 22 episodes but it could have been done and great.

TOS would be my second choice but in fairness they got 22 episodes of TAS and 6.5 two hour movies so it worked out for that show.

DS9 could always use another season! I'm a little surprised at how many people want an Enterprise season, considering how unpopular the series was!

Enterprise.
I, too would have liked to see a bit more on the Romulan War & the start of the Federation. Only, I don't think Trip would have needed to be killed off. Malcolm, yes, but not Trip.

I still don't understand the hatred some trek fans show towards Enterprise. The first two seasons may have been medicore, but nothing as bad as, say, TOS's 3rd season or TNG's 1st season. The 3rd season was an inspired and classic save the Earth storyline, and the 4th season was pure trek fan service. What more could a fan ask for?

I voted for Enterprise, the other modern Treks had for the most part run their course as their shows ended (esp. TNG). Enterprise however seemed to be hitting its stride when it was cancelled.
A close second would be TOS but I fear it may have been dumbed down even worse than the third season given the decline in the show in its final year.

Another season of ENT would be great because they could begin developing the Romulan War, and maybe make it last another 3 seasons.

I think that The Original Series is the most deserving of this magical one-extra year of televised episodes. I find the Man Trap even more lackluster as far as final episodes go. These Are the Voyages had a decent premise at heart and gave you closure...even if it is horrible, horrible closure on Trip's part. But the Man Trap doesn't really have much to brag about and now that we're in the late 2000's it's views on women are kind of back wards by now. Especially after we've had a series helmed by a female captain.

But personally, I'd give it to Enterprise. Enterprise was the first Star Trek series I watched start to finish in conjunction with their air dates so it holds a special place in my heart even if season two strained my patience a bit. Coto supposedly had the idea that Shran would have become a crew member on the Enterprise if season 5 would have come along. Oh man, that would have been cool. And a visit to Denobula, a visit to the Cloud planet, another Mirror Universe episode centering around Empress Hoshi; yeah, I could easily dig all of that.

So I voted for Ent. Sorry, TOSsers.
