Add and subtract characters

Hmm...I would add a Vulcan main character to DS9. But it's not easy whom to replace because the characters are all great...so I just add one more character
;)

INCONCEIVABLE!
Well, okay, that was a slight exaggeration. Almost everyone annoys me sometimes - yes, even Odo - but nobody except the nagus annoys me constantly, or enough to want to replace them. I wasn't all that enthusiastic about Worf coming aboard, nor all his agonizing over his crazy heritage - honestly, how can these people possibly have developed space travel? But there were some episodes I found engaging and he was instrumental in moving the plot.
I loved the show, even if I didn't like everything about it. This time around, we're skipping the most annoying episodes, as well every one that involves torture.

Replace Chakotay with Gul Evek. In this version Evek is in the DQ with the Vetar and he sacrifices it to save Voyager, with survivors beamed aboard. He becomes XO as a compromise. Chakotay either gets put on a bus, or death, or was the villain all along.

In a nutshell:

1) Poorly written, eventually had little to do
2) Lost his Maquis edge
3) His native culture was created largely with the aid of someone who made it up instead of real Indigenous cultural details
4) The actor has unpopular opinions

For me. Definitely 1-3 of those.
As someone with unpopular opinions himself, I rather admire the 4th.

DS9 - They did a great job with all their characters, including Ezri in my opinion. If I HAD to get rid of one, I'm merge Damar with Dukat. Damar stays the junior bridge officer on Dukat's ship and is not seen again after Dukat is no longer a ship's captain. Dukat is the one to kill Ziyal, which would be completely in character. Dukat does much as he did except that in season 7 instead of sleeping with Winn and the ending in the fire caves, he's leading a rebellion of the Cardassians against the Dominion. And in the end he gets killed by Kira, dammit, the way he should have been all along. She earned the right to take his life.

I'm adding Chapel, Rand, Helen Noel, Yeoman Barrows and Yeoman Mears to the landing party for THIS SIDE OF PARADISE.....now led by Uhura. Kirk and Spock can remain on the ship so both can drive the six women into an epic barnyard battle in act four in place of DeSalle and Sulu.

Re Chakotay: Those are good reasons. I never much noticed, because he didn't annoy me as Neelix and Janeway often did.
I've see Beltran in some character parts and he wasn't any more charismatic.
And in the end he [Dukot] gets killed by Kira, dammit, the way he should have been all along. She earned the right to take his life.
Well, yes, I have to agree. But I wouldn't want Kira to be the one in that fire pit in the end, any more than I liked Sisco being there. But somebody had to get Winn there, definitely - and who better than the other arch villain? I thought their liaison was wonderfully ironic - don't even care that it's implausible.

DS9:

Jadzia dies in “Change of Heart”. While Chakotay manages to get back to the Alpha Quadrant and is assigned to DS9 while trying to figure out how to get Voyager home.

ENT:

Kill off Reed in “Minefield” and make him the first human casualty of the Romulans, and the event be referred to in future Romulan incidents.

Add Shran after “Cease Fire” and switch up the bridge postings: T’Pol at tactical/security, Hoshi at sciences, Shran at comms.
