--the non-necro version!
Ad Astra News
--from the little archive that won't die.
All legacy spam reviews are now gone. All legacy spam registrations are now gone. Registration itself has now been taken off-site completely to prevent any more spam registrations! On the upside, that means that you can use gmail, yahoo, etc. to join the site! And you'll likely never get another spam review on your stories, even if eFiction is old and clunky. XD
On the downside, that means you might have to wait a little bit to get your account, since registration is now done from the back end of the site instead of the front end. (Hold the puns please. >.>) However, if you're interested in bringing your tales over to the archive, please do! Even if you have them here, AO3, fanfiction.net or wherever else, it never hurts to have an extra copy out there!
Just click the Register link in the menu, fill out the Google form, and when you get your e-mail from Ad Astra to claim your penname with a temporary password, just change the password to whatever secure password you like and you're good to go!
Story submission will still require validation for new authors, but as the admin, let me give you two hints that will probably make it a very quick thing: Line breaks between paragraphs and the correct usage of punctuation. We don't judge on artistic merit or characterization, so like-- by all means bring your funky Star Trek/Gilligan's Island fusion. (I'm pretty sure Rocky's got one of those out there already!) We're also super friendly to original ships and original crews!
We also have some pretty awesome forums that cost decent scratch, so feel free to register for those, too. Might as well use 'em, right? Those are registered separately from the archive for security and upgrade reasons, but they're well worth the extra effort. And you can just register for those regularly, too!
Anyway, there you have it. Ad Astra's not dead, it's gotten a bit of tweaking and I hope to see at least some of you there. <3

PS: Yes, we do allow adult content. Just make sure to use the right rating so the popup warning comes up. I remember someone asking about it in some thread, and the answer is yes.
